I have found Elavil has worked quite well for urgency in my case. I now only get up 2 times at the most during the night to urinate, before I was getting up every 2 hour through the night. You must do research on this medication and weigh out the pros and cons before considering using this or any ot...

The best pants I have found is the 80's high waist pants, I get them with the legs 3-4" short. I wear them at my normal waist level with the crotch 3-4" low and loose fitting boxer briefs and the boys say thank you by not giving any screaming pain.

What do you say about someone like me who is in greater pain when it is warm and it is ever worse in 90+ degree weather we are now having. I long for the cold winter day and being outside and having the pain reduce greatly. Hot showers and baths and hot tubs are very painful. I am such a misfit that...

I have dealt with severe back pain for years but it isn't a symptom of my CPPS/CP. The only thing that may be in common is the golfball feeling in the rectum which is not one of the severe pains I get from CPPS/CP. Though I would like to know how many have had back pain before they they had CPPS/CP ...

It looks like I could have a hard road ahead as I am on 150mg per day. I have found that after over 3 years it does nothing to help me sleep. I believe that in still is helping my frequency as since I started it I haven't been getting up 3 to 5 time at night and going ever 45 minute or less during t...

I had used anti inflammatories; they worked for a while, then I needed higher and higher doses ending with burning holes in my stomach lining. There are others here with similar experiences. IF YOU CAN DO WITH OUT THEM THEN JUST SAY NO.

I am the odd one out here. I use to have warm or but mostly hot baths to relax my back muscles, I have a disk that bulges and find that hot baths relax the muscles enough so I can stretch the disk back into place. Since I have had CPPS/CP if I go in warm or hot water I get extreme testicular pain (m...

I take Flexeril regularly for my back as I cannot use heat any more to loosen the muscles so I can stretch the disks and free the nerve. I find Flexeril does squat for my CPPS, but I am not the poster boy for normal here.
I hope for the best for you.

I have never held back with most people and I get the question "how are you doing?" - 4 words that I always have a tough time answering, but it keeps me honest about where I am. Others I just tell them it is a chronic pain thing.

I have to add in, STOP the antibiotics asap and do not try to relieve the pain with an anti-inflammatory they are also bad stuff. Try to follow the example of most of the others or you will end up paying for follow what most of the uro's tell you to try. I have had chronic prostatitis for 4 years an...
