Checking in...

Hi guys, It's been a while since I posted but I wanted to share some updates: I suffered a serious sports injury and ruptured my Achilles tendon back in May. They had to surgically correct it. The impact on my symptoms was remarkable, since I was resting a lot and virtually stress-free, meanwhile ke...

Re: Some specific questions for you all

davioj, I live in Belgium and have had good improvement with a local PT who knows trigger point therapy, internal as well as external. He has attended numerous seminars abroad on the subject and knows David G. Simons, one of the authorities on trigger point treatment. If you want, I can pass on his ...

Re: Question on the best position for internal self-treatment

Hi Carl, Not so good at the moment, I'm having a massive flare-up while in the middle of renovating my new flat. It's so predictable. Although I must admit I came out of a very good spell, but as I already stated, I kind of slacked and didn't keep up my game in terms of tp release. So as soon I thin...

Re: How many people here had Panic Attacks before CPPS?

Same here, I suffered severe panic attacks in my early twenties, also triggered by substance abuse. I spent a couple of years in the club scene with abundant amphetamine, XTC and cocaine use. After having to endure a particular stressful period (demolishing and construction of a new building next do...

Question on the best position for internal self-treatment

I have a question regarding internal self-treatment: whenever I’m having a flare-up I’m experiencing pain in the perineum radiating into the testicle. I do self treatment alternately lying on my right and left side but I’m having a hard time reaching the muscles around the perineum. I now try to per...

Re: Lymph nodes or trigger points?

I do find "lumps" deep down to the bone there. I don't have any particular pain if I just grab some skin and fatty tissue, I really have to go deep to the bone and grab all of the tissue. Some of them feel like long hardenings of tissue, and some are more like peas. I've been wondering myself what ...

Re: Vitamin D and chronic pain

I just picked up some Vitamin D3 from my pharmacist and it's just 4 little ampules containing 25.000 IU each that need to be taken monthly.
Will this work just as well or do we need a daily dosis?

He had those as well but in smaller doses and specifically for infants.

Supplement break + flareup

About 2 weeks ago I decided to take a supplement break to allow the body to flush out possible excess. I don't know if it's coincidental but I'm currently experiencing quite the flareup. After I started seeing a qualified PT, I am now at a point where I go and see him every 3 months which is quite a...

Re: Self Physical Therapy

There seem to be different ways of releasing a tp and milking is one of them. My PT releases external tps through dry needling and internal tps through milking. He basically moves the tp in the direction of the surrounding muscle tissue eg sphincter more of a sideways movement and obturator internus...

Re: Similar Experiences ?

Seems like a textbook case of CPPS to me. Sounds very similar to the way it all kicked off for me: a couple of recurring infections, initial treatment with antibiotics and a lingering pain that developed in CPPS over time. I developed it in late 1996 and even ended up in A&E. Bear in mind these were...

Re: Proscar for treatment of prostatitis

I cried more in those few weeks I took it than I did in my whole life...I had no desire for sex and I usually have a monster sex drive...thank god I still do after I stopped taking that sh*t.... My sex drive was OK, my emotional state wasn't. I'm always a bit weary about taking pills on end and in ...

It is mentioned in the Potts book.
I have the same exact issue. My pelvis needs to be realigned once in a while.

Zyflamend

I've did a search on this forum and I was surprised how little mention there is about this product since it has good anti-inflammatory properties and was tested in a controlled environment: http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/news/press_releases/zyflamend.html Ingredient info: http://www.newchapter.com/pro...
