The emWave PC Stress Relief System can only be used with a PC, the Personal Stress Reliever is a handheld device without any PC link. The PC system comes with a lot of tools, like a coach, several games, the monitoring of your coherence and a possibility to save your records under serveral users and...

Relaxation-Biofeedback

With every day I see the link between psyche and my CPPS problems more clearer. It's surprising how tensed I was in the pelvis, stomach and neck before I opened my mind for this kind of relation. So I bought a biofeedback system to monitor and lower my stress level. It's called emWave and works on t...

It wasn't mentioned yet that IC is often combined with a clear and sharpe pain in the abdomen in which with CPPS the pain is more diffuse and "soft", but long-lasting. A negative cystoscopy doesn't 100% exclude IC. If you want to be sure you should do a "potassium-chloride" test. First your bladder ...

Well...I started Remeron (called Zispin over here) as an altenative to Elavil ...It feels exactly the same as Elavil at 25mg to me except the effect has been quicker and I am less constipated. H1 Effect is causing the usual pelvic tenseness. What is meant by this H1 effect of Remeron? H1/H2-histami...

Interesting thoughts:) No, I think I'm gonna stay in the IT business as I already developed myself from a technique IT nerd to a more project-management related position. But generally, I mean it's not a wrong way to hear inside and ask yourself if it's really the job that makes you happy. In my cas...

Interesting articles from Dr. Pohl

I was at Dr. Pohl two years ago and she has a similar concept and therapy like the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol but with some other aspects and thoughts. She's a psychologist and psychotherapist who had great success on the base of her work. Probably, she can be seen as the german answer of Dr. W...

Hi Steve, I had the same thougths in my mind as you have got at the moment. I'm also in the IT business and as I have the same increase of symptoms when I'm sitting extensively, I decided to buy a desk which you can move up or down so you can work in a standing position. It works pretty fine! To rel...

I was at a pain specialist today at he recommended to try a nerve blockade of the hypogastric nerve by an injection of a local anesthetic. Thus, it could be possible to decrease the urinary urge for about 2-4 hours. If so, a therapy by radio frequencies on that nerve could be an opionion to decrease...

Urodynamic and nerve problems

Can nerve problems be excluded as cause for urinary urge/frequency problems when the urodynamic examination was negative? I'm wondering if not compressions in the spinal cord or especially in the lumbar vertebra (e.g. L5/SI) or sacrailiac joint could be the reason for problems in the urinary tract. ...

Hi garyholc, I know it's kind of depressing if the love stick doesn't work any more as before, but first try to see more the positive things (frequency!) going on and don't focus on the worst as it's not surprising that it won't work down there when you put such a pressure on it. Unfortunately, if i...

Gabapentin vs. Pregabalin

Current study results appear to provide early support for pregabalin based on its greater potency and pharmacokinetic superiority than gabapentin. Pregabalin is generally well tolerated with the most common adverse effects reported being dizziness, somnolence and peripheral edema. More information: ...

Deficit of alkaline/iron can cause freezing

I've got the feeling since I'm taking alkaline and iron supplements the freezing of my body doesn't occur so quickly as it did before. If the acid-base balance tends to be too acid over a longer time the body reacts among a lot of other negative effects (tiredness, sweating all the time) with quick ...

Re: 5 Months of Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol

Hi, I don't believe that the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol would include running and rebounding. These two exercises could be hindering your improvement. Naturally you are right, running and rebounding has nothing to do with the SP but after 12 years of experiences with the muscle tension in the ...

Did you try different positions like lying on the side using the long finger or the thumb. Sitting on the toilet and trying to massage through the legs.

You could also try a wand after you really know or feel where you have to massage as control without a finger is pretty bad.

@kevin: I'm wondering if you had any sexual dysfunction side effects? I've read that adrenoceptors and SSRIs are often linked to sexual side effects. Means probably that when I follow this path I have to expect sexual dysfunctions or have you heard about specific drugs in this area without these kin...
