Re: New Here - 6 Months of Prostatitis - Feel Hopeless

Thanks Nathan!
Trying to find anything to just ease or give comfort to pain. My heating pad has been my best friend lately. Lots of PT too.

Re: Ganglion Impar Block

Scotcan It would be on left and right side of buttock. It's where the hip socket is. I have it flare up when doing squats or exercising lower body for long periods in hitt classes. At times it has also irritated my sciatica. I've recently been getting the tailbone pain and have not exercised as much...

Re: New Here - 6 Months of Prostatitis - Feel Hopeless

Major, I've read all of your posts this morning. I think it's awesome that even though you are cured you made the time to come back and post and give those of us that are just going through this some hope. It can be despairing. Are there any other supplements other than magnesium and quercetin that ...

Re: Ganglion Impar Block

Hey prostate, I had a similar situation early where I took antibiotics and they didn't do anything for me but I was also working out. Just like you I developed hip bursitis. Never had this in my life but got it during circuit training. I took prednisone steroid to help with the bursitis pain. And al...

Re: Stopping pelvic floor therapy and stretching actually made things better...

Are you still taking Elavil? I'm considering taking it even though I know it can have long term side effects. I just realized last night my current issue and pain is a spasm either triggered by the levator ani or inner sphincter. This area stays sore for a long time also. Gonna get a therawand and h...

Cree/Chris, Never got a chance to reply here and tell you thanks for sharing your story, and sorry for your loss. I always have significant anxiety. Yes me too. I think mine is Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). I've pretty much had it all my life and never properly treated it until I hit rock bott...

Re: New Here - 6 Months of Prostatitis - Feel Hopeless

Nathan, Is there a brand you like or take that helped? What dosage did you take? I don't have the sitting on golfball problem anymore, and recent work on my levator Ani seems to have gotten rid of my urinary burning and nerve pain in my penis. Stretching seems to help as well. But recently got a ret...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS

My understanding is this treatment is only good for temporary or short treatment relief and not long term like the protocol that's been well documented in the forum.

Re: 29 Year Old Terrified for His Future

Make sure to search your area or state for urologists that have knowledge in CPPS. You don't want to go to a urologist that has no clue about CPPS or pelvic floor dysfunction. It will be a waste of your time.

Re: 29 Year Old Terrified for His Future

Sorry to hear about your brother. That event could have been weighing on you the past few years and your pelvic floor finally gave out from the tension you didn't know you were holding. Mentally I've been where you've been. I'm almost 8 months in to the process and just last night I had a pain that ...

Re: Recent advances in CP/CPPS management

I feel like cannibis irritates my symptoms right away, but then after a nights sleep I wake up the next day and my mood is slightly better for the next few days. Possible thought is that it alters the perception of pain because of a slightly better mood. The only thought here is, how long do you re...

Re: Recent advances in CP/CPPS management

Good find Webslave. I can attest to Prednisone being a very good steroid that knocked out all the pain when I thought I may have had an infection. I recall taking Bactrim thinking it had eliminated the infection. The reality was the steroid had nullified the pain temporarily. I wonder if a dose now ...

Re: New Here - 6 Months of Prostatitis - Feel Hopeless

Nathan, I go to work with pain on my mind a lot of the time. What helps when it's too much is some benzos. I take klonopin .25mg so it doesn't make me too sleepy but makes me less anxious thinking about it. You have to learn to tolerate and deal with it. I've only just started mindfulness meditation...

Re: Ashwagandha root!!!

I'm cycling because that's what webslave recommended. I would think he'd expect us to do the same with Q-Urol. Hopefully he chimes in here to give you his take. I think any homeopathic stuff we take should be cycled so your body doesn't get used to the properties and you lose its effects. I feel the...

Re: Ashwagandha root!!!

Scotcan are you cycling off the quercetin/Q-rol? Webslave had recommended 3-4 weeks on, 1 week off.
