Re: CPPS/Tinnitus

I've had tinnitus and actually developed a vestibular disorder (balance disorder). I swear it was something I was taking for the prostatitis that caused all this. I know viagra, cialis, staxyn drugs all have side effects effecting the ears. Whenever I would take those my ears would be ringing the ne...

Cromolyn Sodium and Cetirizine Hydrochloride Clinical Trial

Not sure if this has been talked about but Northwestern University (Feinberg Medicine) is doing a study on Cromolyn Sodium and Cetirizine Hydrochloride's effect on pain in CPPS.It has something to do with reducing mast cell tryptase. I'm thinking about joining this study, everyone gets the medicatio...

Skin Rolling by PT Questions

Has anyone had skin rolling done by their Physical Therapist? I had this done a few times before and my PT seems to say it's critical in helping me get better. She has been skin rolling my abdominal areas all the way up to my rib cage (which is the worst part) and also inner thigh pubic area. This i...

Re: Recent advances in CP/CPPS management

I feel like cannibis irritates my symptoms right away, but then after a nights sleep I wake up the next day and my mood is slightly better for the next few days. Possible thought is that it alters the perception of pain because of a slightly better mood.

Re: Brain Changes May Explain Chronic Pain Symptoms in Different Disorders

I have had two brain MRIs over about the last 2 years and had 6 very small 1-3mm unspecific white matter lesions. Not sure if they are at all related to CPPS. But after I got CPPS, sometime shortly I started to have consistent vertigo which doctors have dismissed as some sort of vestibular disorder....

Re: Rectal Valium Suppository or Gel-Muscle Relaxant

I have taken the valium suppository and the oral pill. Both did not do me much good. You definitely get way mellowed out and sleepy. I felt like my whole body would get the tired relaxed feeling but many times I feel like everything would relax except my cramped up pelvic floor. Careful with taking ...

Testosterone Check?

My doctor asked me what bothered me the most about my problem and I replied the ED. I told him Cialis and Viagra don't seem to restore the pleasurable effect and that I still feel like I have a 90% erection that's kinda a "fake erection" (more drug induced then pleasure/urge erection). He said it ma...

Rant on CPPS and Research Efforts (or lack of)

I know CPPS/CNBP has many different symptomatic properties amongst those who suffer, but broadly I feel like the research efforts are absolutely terrible. One thing I do not understand is why everything that is done research wise is always drug trials. (Drug trials, drug trials, drug trials! ) I don...

UroLift (Procedure)

Has anyone had this Urolift system "installed"?

I know it is advertised as a solution for BPH and urinary problems but I am wondering if this could help those with CPPS.

I am attaching the website which explains the procedure and device.

Erections

Does anyone else on here have to flex their pelvic floor, or the muscles used to try to ejaculate, constantly to maintain an erection? I find that unless I'm doing a pelvic thrust, like I want to ejaculate now, I can't really even keep much of an erection. If I hold that thrust I can keep it maybe 8...

Neurological or Ear Issues in anyone?

Anyone have any trouble with sinusitis and/or ear problems? Over the past year or so I began to get ringing in my ears and several months after I started to feel dizzy at times which has now progressed to mostly constant. I was thinking the ear ringing initially was coming from Cialis and other ED d...

New Member - Looking for Direction - Notes On What I have Tried

Hi Everyone, I am a 25 y/o male who has been suffering with CPPS for nearly 4 years. Initial onset started during a period of high sexual frequency with partner of about 6 months. Thought it may have started with overholding ejaculation (I took about a 2 week break from intercourse/ejaculating and t...
