Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS

Hi Mark there is contradiction between the conclusion of this two paper: 1- http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25097599 Although, ESWT therapy as a safe and effective therapy in CPPS in short-term follow-up has been established, its long-term efficacy was not supported by this study 2- https://www.n...

Re: My CPPS Stories and Experience’s

It has been postulated that trauma is the reason for the extravasation of platelets which release serotonin and that this causes vasoconstriction; hence the oedema. This in turn results in degranulation of mast cells with consequent liberation of histamine and heparin . The histamine counteracts th...

Re: My CPPS Stories and Experience’s

You could try Neurontin (gabapentin), Elavil (amitriptyline), Lyrica (pregabalin) — not necessarily in that order, and do research first. But your first course of action is simply to relax, meditate and de-stress. This is often difficult due to life circumstances, I know... Thank you Webslave, I've...

I was told that dry needling of pubococcygeus and bulbospongiosus is basically possible, but too risky and my PT did not feel comfortable to do it. Anyway my main troublesome trigger points are deep inside. I have had...
