Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

Is it possible that this persistent headache is a side effect of the central sensitisation that CPPS has caused? Still no change in the headache after almost 4 weeks, with no previous history of headaches at all...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

Thanks webslave, I'll get to work on those areas.
Having never had headaches before and then a constant one for 2-3 weeks, I'm becoming worried that it's the start of something chronic. But I suppose thinking like that isn't going to help.

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

For the last 3 weeks I've had a persistent and almost constant headache - with maybe one or two days where they've eased. I never normally have headaches, and so this is worrying to me. I don't think it's anything sinister, more likely some kind of persistent or chronic tension headache and I'm seei...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

I'm pleased to say that for now at least, my testicular pain has gone. I have a repeat ultrasound in just over a week and if my symptoms remain the same it will be interesting to know whether the visible inflammation from my last US is completely gone. I did a lot of (extra) work with stretching, in...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

Just had the ultrasound on my testes. The radiographer commented that there were signs of increased blood flow in both of the testes, in other words inflammation. He commented that the epididymis of each testicle was fine. If this were linked to my CPPS, is it normal for there to be visible inflamma...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

Getting relaxed again will be key. CPPS used to be called "the truck driver's disease" (or "trucker's disease") because tense sitting, as truck drivers do when piloting large vehicles in traffic, is one of the worst environments for pain generation. As predicted, the 2nd visit to the primary care d...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

I was probably about a month away from posting a '80% healed' or 'success story' post. All of my symptoms have settled incredibly well over the last few months and I was feeling very confident about the routine I had going. I haven't had a single spell of perineum pain since Dec 2016, my coccyx pain...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

Hi European, My adductor magnus issues were very curious. My PT regularly reported that they were extremely tight, despite my attempts to stretch them using a routine very similar to that given in Amy Stein's book. I then invested in a foam roller and started using it on my IT band, quad, and adduct...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

It's been a few months since I posted. I'm pleased to say that things appear to be moving in the right direction, coccyx and perineal pain are things of the past, whilst the penis tip pain is slowly improving and the flares aren't lasting as long. I'm going to hold off a few more months before givin...

UK therapists

I'll soon be moving back to the UK, but due to a relocation to the South of the country it won't be practical for me to see Bill Taylor regularly, although if I would I could as I feel the few sessions I had with him coincided with the most progress I made over the last 12 months of having this cond...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

I posted in December regarding new pains in my perineum and coccyx. I'm pleased to say that I've managed to almost completely sort my perineal pain, by gradually working on my adductor magnus. It's only after an intense session on my adductors with a foam roller that I have any noticeable perineal i...

Re: 17 Months In...

That's great news both Carb and MajorSky, long may it continue! A question for you both: whilst being so active on this forum (which I and I'm sure others really appreciate as you provide so much useful info), how is it possible to quit thinking about the condition? Each time I have a flare up of pa...

Re: My story 6 months in - input appreciated

Just been doing a bit of reading in A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS about my new symptoms, and I see that perineum pain/inflammation is commonly referred from the adductor magnus. I've been doing a lot of intense work on my adductors in the last week with both a Theracane and foam roller, as I've got some ...
