Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Hi HCR123, thanks for sharing your comments. I don't think I can pin point my pain to a particular muscle...its an overall kinda ache in the pelvic area (along with tingling in toes and lumbar ache)....and everyone seems to be a bit different. The PT says everything is tight in my pelvis; so I guess...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Hi Noll, its going pretty well thanks. I have had about 4 sessions so far. It's really uncomfortable when she massages internally (and I don't look forward to it at all) but overall I think it is helping. I find the flares after ejaculation are not lasting as long and are less severe. Also, I am bec...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Yes MajorSky1 I agree. I have a very stressful job and always thought I could handle it. But I think the effects of chronic stress will out somewhere, somehow in the end. In my case with CPPS. I have started to acknowledge the reality of my work/life stress situation in my life and to take measures ...

Re: cortisone injection: urgent question

Hello ppp if you have doubts, it can't hurt to wait and do some further research and think about it (nothing lost).; possibly get another opinion for peace of mind. I am not an expert in joint steroid injections or CPPS, though I am a medical practitioner and in general my experience is that steroid...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Thanks MajorSky1, Noll and all That's really helpful feedback As I have not done any internal work really, I guess it's worth a go to see if I can get some further improvement with this. So I am definitely going to see the PT's in Bondi Junction, thanks Noll for that tip, to get some professional in...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Thanks Amonges...no I am in Sydney; it is a bit of a backwater true, lol, but there must be at least one pelvic PT somewhere here ! I take your point about getting the correct technique; your tips sound like a good start, in the meantime, until I find someone I must say your symptoms sound very much...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Thank you Webslave and Amonges; much appreciated I am going to try those tips you suggested A couple of follow-up questions: 1. Is there a good DIY guide/advice on how to use of the Therawand correctly? I have tried to find suitable PT in this city but for some strange reason, have had little succes...

Progress but improvement stalled

Hello all, I was looking to see if anyone had some insights to share or advice. My CPPS started around 2 years ago (though I think I had it in a very mild form for a lot longer, like a decade or two, though it was so mild and short-lived, I just ignored it). Anyway, I went through all the usual hoop...

Re: Running

I think its worth a try; building up gently from a walk as you suggest. I tried to remain active during periods of pain; including some measured jogging/running; and I certainly feel it contributed to my overall recovery and helped me maintain a positive frame of mind which is so helpful in this con...

Re: Lumbar ache stiffness

Thanks guys for the replies and references. The comments have been really helpful in helping me to understand this condition better and get things in perspective. I am having trouble still finding a good (any!) PT in this city ... but I am sure they are out there. I'm motivated to keep looking!

looking for some Reassurance

Hello again, I was just wanting to get some reassurance/feedback I suppose that what I am experiencing is consistent with CPPS or not and whether I need to get more check ups etc. And if so, will it ever go away? It's taken me quite a while to start to accept that maybe there is not something physic...
