Re: 6 years with CPPS

Carbonevo, thanks for your advice.

Do you mean the forum on the TMSwiki site?

Thanks,
Christoph

Re: 6 years with CPPS

Hi everyone, in my case I am quite convinced that there are no major physical problems. As Carbonevo said, even with slight physical problems the body should be able to behave pain free. It is the mind that makes the pain get stronger and stronger. In my case, since I have days (if I am lucky, weeks...

Re: Complete randomness of pelvic pain?

@carbonevo: My situation is slightly different in the case that I already found out many years ago that it is purely psychosomatic. At the beginning I went to some urologists and orthopedists but I soon was sure that my body is o.k. and that it is only in my head. For me it is more the problem that ...

Re: Complete randomness of pelvic pain?

I agree with Chris. Thanks for your hepful posts, carbonero. Without going into detail concerning Sarno (just red Ezer's old post so far) I did an experiment on Monday evening. I had symptoms again and I confronted myself with some bad memories from the past experiencing the emotions. For example as...

Re: Complete randomness of pelvic pain?

@Cree, @Carbonevo, @European -- Thanks for all your helpful comments. Carbonevo, I haven't read Sarno's book so far, will do it...(which one would you recommend?) Cree, for me it makes sense that because the mind is such a complicated thing and everybody is different, that a method can help or total...

Re: Complete randomness of pelvic pain?

Hi Cree, would be great if you could provide an update once you know more how/when your pain comes. I have absolutely pain free days (earlier it could be up to several months without any pain (0%!) – at the moment best is one week) and then I have days with very high pain. I know where it comes from...

Re: A Unique Story, My 4-Year Experience

Ok, thanks. Maybe due to the fact that only a few members are active at any one time it would be good to have such a poll not inside a discussion but maybe separate on the first page. So everybody can vote if he wants or tried a certain medicine / Treatment and the vote does not disappear once this ...

Re: A Unique Story, My 4-Year Experience

Thanks, Caedar. Thanks, European. Concerning all the medication out there, the forum could be improved with a page that has some kind of poll. If e.g. everyone who used Atarax for the pelvic pain votes after a certain time if it helped or it didn't help (maybe also with grades) then some of us could...

Re: A Unique Story, My 4-Year Experience

Hi European, I saw in another post that you tried to use Atarax - how did that help you? I agree that I am lucky having long periods with no pain. On the other hand this condition has affected my whole life so heavily for 9 years already and I am really tired of it. One problem for me is also that e...

Re: Who has similar symptoms?

Hi webslave, thanks for mentioning that. I filled out the signature now. Do you remember any cases in which (like in my case) there are Long periods of no pain (without taking any medication or doing anything during that time) and then the pain Comes back after certain Trigger Events. Of course I am...

Re: A Unique Story, My 4-Year Experience

Hi Avery, hi European, The theory of having some Kind of injury also fits to my case. My problems started in 2006 after a jump into the water from the side of the pool where I landed badly on my private parts. After that the pain started and it always came back when there where certain Trigger Event...

Re: Who has similar symptoms?

Hi everybody, just wanted to push this discussion up, so maybe other people can join. Who else thinks / knows that his condition is mainly / if not totally due to psychological problems? I tend to think this more and more - but then it would mean that only meditation / psychotherapy would help - and...

Re: Who has similar symptoms?

@webslave: Thanks for the link! Much medication is mentioned there. Do you think with the symptoms I described it would make sense to take any of these? I dont like to take too much different medication at a time - so maybe just one. What I take at the moment is Pregabalin (2*75mg in the evening; 2*...

Re: Who has similar symptoms?

I agree! It's just very difficult for me to keep doing meditation once the pain is there. Anyways, I will continue to do it. Anyone has any other ideas for me?

Thanks,
Christoph
