Does anyone else have reduced pleasure during sex and orgasm?

I've been having significantly reduced pleasure during sex or masturbation, especially during orgasm for a year or two now and I'm wondering how many others are experiencing this and what the current understanding is about how this is related to pelvic tension. I also have peyronie's disease and pai...

Re: Timeframe for improvement, degree of improvement

Well It's been about 2 years total for me now. These past 4 months I finally had more major improvements, to the point where 80% of the pain is gone, and pain has for the most part not been a huge issue in day to day life. I can't go back to many of the things I used to do though, I have to take car...

Re: Timeframe for improvement, degree of improvement

1. I know this and I can feel the tension increase as I play. I just feel it should be possible to play without letting things tense so much. Most people play video games without pelvic pain. 2. I've already read the book. I do try to incorporate relaxation into my life. I found that it is hard to f...

Timeframe for improvement, degree of improvement

I've had pelvic pain for almost a year and a half now. For about 8 months it got worse until I started physical therapy, which I have been doing for 9 months now. It took about 3 months to notice any improvement from therapy at all. Eventually I had major improvements and then things fluctuated back...

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

I do feel at times I didn't pay enough attention to relaxing my pelvic muscles. Lately things have fluctuated a lot. Some days have been not bad at all, others have been among the worst days I've had since this whole thing started. Lately my penis has been hurting really badly all over. That is the ...

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

Well bad news, I've had a major flare up for the past 2 weeks. The pelvic pain and muscle tension has gotten a lot worse. Fortunately the penile pain hasn't increased. During PT sessions my internal trigger points went from mild pain when pushed on to severe pain when pushed on. I'd say trigger poin...

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

Good news, over the past few weeks I've had some major improvements. Either the shot kicked in or the initial irritation from the shot wore off and I've had natural improvement. My pain has stayed mostly at the level of 2 (out of 10) or lower and has maxed at 3 for the past few weeks. My pelvic floo...

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

Those were really good instructions. I think I found what you are talking about. It does hurt. It's either the nerve or a trigger point that I found. Is there reason to believe that massaging the nerve would be beneficial? If I really found the nerve itself I'm afraid of damaging it.

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

I'm not very experienced with self massage or trigger point treatment. I did buy a Theracane though. How do I the pudental nerve?

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

It hurts all over but it especially hurts on the left side and on this side I have slight curvature, probably from scar tissue. The left side is also the side where it gets easily irritated if I do anything sexual.

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

I've been going to therapy for 2 months now. The internal trigger points have drastically improved and I think I'm starting to have some symptom relief in terms of the perineal pain. The penis pain has naturally improved somewhat but at this point I don't believe it is caused by pelvic muscle tensio...

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

An update. I've been seeing the therapist for a month now. Her hands on work hasn't helped but she was able to suggest some changes to my posture and helped me learn to breath and relax. All these things have helped the pain. But I still have significant pain. I had the first appointment with the pe...

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

I emailed Dr Wise and he said there were no therapists trained in his protocol near me. The other place I can go is here: http://www.unchealthcare.org/site/hospital_depts/otpt/outpatient/spinecenter/WomensHealthPT I don't know if it would be any different. I was referred from my pain management doct...

Re: Introducing myself, looking for advice

I am going here: http://www.carolinapelvichealth.com/
The main thing the therapist found is that my iliacus and psoas muscles are very tight and tender. I don't think there were any other major issues. I'm not sure if this could cause the kind of pain that I'm having or not.

my first physical therapy appointment

I had my first physical therapy appointment yesterday. I really liked the place and the therapist but I was disappointed because the therapist was not able to find anything majorly wrong with my pelvic floor. Some areas were tender and some were a bit tight but nothing major. She found no trigger po...
