Re: Male Pelvic Pain: Beyond Urology

My question is what are the names of these doctors who can treat such conditions from all these angles.

Re: My story of the road to CPPS - MajorSky

My doctor just recommended caudal epidural nerve block. It sounds like your experience has been bad. Did you get any relief at all?

CPPS or IC

How do doctors tell if you have IC or CPPS? I have been treated for CPPS for the last 15 years without much help. I asked my Dr. whether it could be IC and he said that it's very rare for a guy and is a wastebasket diagnosis which in his experience is usually always something else. Isn't CPPS a wais...

Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty

I have this same problem. Always going and then feeling like I have to go again. When my pain gets really really bad I can go like every five minutes. Not sure if that means I have CPPS or IC or frankly if there is any difference.

Re: Urethral Pain Cause/Treatment

It definitely gets more intense with bladder filling. I'm still in pain when my bladder is empty but usually the pain intensity goes down a bit. Although it's always there in that same area. This might be something worth trying. It's just so confusing because you get to a point where your not sure w...

Re: Urethral Pain Cause/Treatment

For me what's always been weird is that my pain seems to be following the urethra track. I don't have any burning like you would if you had a urinary infection. When I feel the area from the perineum going up through penis I can tell that the pain is there. It's not on the sides, just follows the tr...

Re: Suffering Alone

Just finished 6 sessions of biofeedback at Weill Cornell/ New York Presbyterian. Unfortunately I got very little relieve from much of it although the anal probe stimulation did sometimes desensitize the area and lower my pain level for and hour sometimes two. Of course it would flare right back up. ...

The Struggle

Sometimes I wish I had some of the break throughs as others on this site. I have been struggling with CPPS for 15 years. I'm 35 now and I just wish I could at least find something to just help. I would wish this terrible affliction on no one. It still today amazes me that no one can help me and I'm ...

Re: Question about meds

Elavil did not do much for me and gave me sleep paralysis; it was pretty scary. So there are definitely some side effects with that drug.

Re: Suffering Alone

Thank you both for writing me. My experiences with Dr. Moldwin have not been terrible. He is a very nice guy. I am suppose to go to him to get possible trigger shot injections in late September. Not sure whether that will help or not but will see. He is just a very busy guy with limited time and ver...
