options in Miami, FL: University of Miami and Baptist

Searching for treatment options here in Miami for this condition I came across these pages. 1) University of Miami Physical Therapy seems to have some sort of treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction (you probably need a referral for an appointment): http://pt.med.miami.edu/clinical/clinical-specialti...

Which cushion is best?

I'd like to hear people's experiences regarding these chair cushions as I am looking into getting one or 2. Comfort level? Helped pain/discomfort? 1) IC-Network Cushion icnsales.com/bladder-and_prostate-friendly-chair-cushion-c.html OR 2) Tush Cush Computer/Car Cushion http://astore.amazon.com/cp58-...

Re: discharge from a Sitz bath? any experience with this?

I sure will! Should be going to a physical therapist in 2 weeks or so. I wouldn't wish this condition on my worst enemy, and I hate the thought that there are probably so many people out there with this and are just living with it without the proper guidance. Thanx for the words of encouragement!

Re: hyperacusis and CPPS connection

Good to know. Unfortunately my tinnitus and hyperacusis had nothing to do with the antibiotics as they started 6 years ago due to an injury, and my CPPS started 2 years ago, at which time I went the antibiotic route due to my (and my urologists) lack of knowledge on the issue.

simple postural tips to help pain/discomfort

So I was looking for a physical therapist here in Miami, FL and I came across this guys website: http://www.neuromusculartherapyassociates.com/default.html Now I am not endorsing him, because I have not been to him or heard from anyone about him BUT, on his website there is this 'Education' section ...

hyperacusis and CPPS connection

I am not a doctor but this idea comes from just thinking logically and paying attention to my body: I have tinnitus (ringing in the ear), AND hyperacusis (over-sensitivity to certain frequency ranges of sound....a collapsed tolerance to normal environmental sound), both in my right ear (the left has...

Re: discharge from a Sitz bath? any experience with this?

Yes, after spending the last few days reading this forum, I realize that I have been going about this the wrong way for the last 2 years. I guess a lot of us have gone through the initial antibiotics/massage nonsense. I am going to the urologist to get some of the drugs that have worked for a lot of...

Re: discharge from a Sitz bath? any experience with this?

The discharge is definitely muscousy. I don't think that it is ulcerative colitis or Crohn's because I have no other symptoms of these two diseases. My symptoms are painful urination, painful ejaculation, that feeling of fullness in the prostate, burning in what I guess is my bladder(?), and occasio...

Re: discharge from a Sitz bath? any experience with this?

No diarrhea, but definitely constipation (a lot of times I have to defecate in the sitz bath, and when I do that same discharge is mixed with my stool). I am not sure if I (or anyone in my family) have IBS, Crohn's, or ulcerative colitis. There are so many routes that I am feeling slightly overwhelm...

discharge from a Sitz bath? any experience with this?

Has anyone experienced this? I use a sitz bath about 3 times a day (the one that goes in the toilet). It helps symptoms, but I had a question. Most of the time when I do it I have a feeling like I have to defecate (like I need to push), and a discharge comes out of my anus. Sometimes it is white lik...
