Hahahaha! I can't tell you how many laughs you've given me over the years, Mark! I see that General Weidner, one of the top officers in the bacterial brigade, is still up to his old tricks. Some things never change!

Re: Rozerem (ramelteon)

I'm gonna give Rozerem a try, and I'll post the outcome. I tried Sonata (similar to Ambien), but it didn't help at all.

As an earlier poster suggested, you might want to start off by taking it at bedtime. Amitriptyline can really make a person sleepy. In fact, it is helpful for some with insomnia. My GP would like to put me on it for that reason.

Rozerem (ramelteon)

Have any of you tried this med for insomnia associated with CPPS? If so, what were the results? Rozerem is advertised as being a hypnotic with no addiction potential.

A few years ago I was going through some rough times (triggered by the death of a friend), and Mark suggested I listen to a particular recording by philosopher Alan Watts. I listened to several, and I definitely benefited from them. They helped me calm down and put my life in perspective.

There are some excellent posts on sleep deprivation and CPPS in the archives. I'd definitely suggest using the search function to locate some of the relevant threads.

A homeopathic medicine has no active ingredient : its ingredient has been diluted in water so many times that not even one molecule of the original substance remains in the pills or liquid you take. The theory is that the water that it is diluted with retains a sort of memory of the original substa...
