Re: CPPS/non bacterial prostatitis need help

If you want a good PT who does internal work try Julia Bowland in Warrington.

She does PT for men and knows her stuff about CPPS.

Her website is http://www.womenshealthphysiotherapy.co ... tacts.html

Re: Painful area above pubic bone / skin rolling / massage

Thanks Webslave, I just had my best week since I got this nearly three years ago. I was even starting to think I'd cracked it only to be hit by a mild flare! :) (You've got to laugh or you'd cry!) Main symptoms now are burning type pain and penis pain after urinating. During the week when I felt alm...

Re: Treatments that helped me the most

Hi Figge, I'm currently doing 1, 2 of your list and trying to learn to relax the PFM. Whats the sniff flop drop?? Did you gradually get better month by month with flares or did you have some breakthroughs? I'm nearly 3 years in and have been doing my protocol daily for the last six months. Frequency...

Re: Painful area above pubic bone / skin rolling / massage

Any advice please... Went to see my GP and asked about AH and he said be didn't know much about them and recommended vesicare which he takes and said he swears by. Anyway, I've just started vesicare and feel worse after the first tablet - seems to enhance my urethra / penis pain. Not slept well sinc...

Webslave - just read some of your 2003 posts about your experience with AH - in the long run did AH help you??

Thanks

Re: Nocturia, frequency, hydrocele, hernia (Wolfcub's case)

Wolfclub When are you thinking of starting the hydroxyzine? Thinking of trying it myself... My main symptoms I have are pain on bladder filling, mild burning and penis pain. Have good weeks and even a day recently of no pain only to get symptoms coming back again for no apparent reason. I know Caeda...

Re: Painful area above pubic bone / skin rolling / massage

Yes - and bladder emptying gives some relief. The tip / urethra pain changes from day to day though - sometimes Ok sometimes more sensitised. Still working on the painful lumps under the skin directly above the pubic bone without causing any flaring so far - I can literally touch them with my finger...

Re: Painful area above pubic bone / skin rolling / massage

Besides the abs my other main areas of focus are the left adductor and pelvic floor esp. left side. The left adductor is seriously tight and also appears to have caused damage to my knee - just going through the process of getting knee & left pelvic area MRIs - it's free on the NHS in the UK but tak...

Re: Painful area above pubic bone / skin rolling / massage

Thanks Caedar, My PT thinks its not a trigger point as such and inflammation of the muscles where they attach to the pubic bone - these attachments may be aggravated in turn by the over tight muscles. I've managed to pin point the pain down to what feels like a couple of small hard lumps (less than ...

Painful area above pubic bone / skin rolling / massage

Hi, Hope someone can help? I'm undergoing pelvic floor PT and as part of my 'homework' I'm massaging / skin rolling tight fascia / muscles in my ab area & adductor. I'm having some success in desensitising these areas and removing trigger points and freeing up the fascia. However, I have a stubborn ...

Re: New developments in diagnosis and treatment

Hi Robert,

Read a few of your posts going back over the years.

Was there anything in particular that you associate with your improvement?

Thanks,

Jamie

Re: Trigger point - just started self treatment - need help!

Hi Webslave, Thanks for your reply. Do you go easier on the area but keep treating it until the pain recedes? Do you know if there is anything else in-between the skin and pubic bone other than muscle? I'm a bit concerned that I might be trying to skin roll / massage a tight band, that I think is mu...

Trigger point - just started self treatment - need help!

Hi, I've been trying to sort my CPPS for getting on 2 years now - it's a long road but I'll get there. Got to about 70% feeling better but could never sustain more than 3/4 weeks without a flare (for no apparent reason it came back) Anyway, over the last 2 months I've started to do mindfulness medit...
