Re: Lost Wise Anderson Wand

That'd be awesome if they would. I'm planning on giving them a call today. Thanks... !

Lost Wise Anderson Wand

Hi everyone... Need some advice. (26/M/Chicago) I was active here about two years ago when my pelvic pain was at its worst. I had penile pain, urinary pain, ejaculatory pain, rectal pressure, inner thigh cramping, and scrotal cramping. After running a gamut of urologists and therapists, I finally we...

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

Hey everyone, So it looks like I'm going to be headed to California. After the Botox injection, my new therapist made a HUGE step: she found a trigger point (that somehow EVERYONE ELSE MISSED) on a prostate-levator ani attachment that refers searing agony to the penile tip, where I have all my pain ...

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

Okay, so here's where I am: I saw a new physical therapist today who, unlike my first, is focused on stretching rather than on electroshock and ultrasound, and I like her approach better. I think I'm going to keep seeing her for a while. She also does internal work, and her examination today confirm...

Re: My Progress *w00t*

Hi Bobby, great to see results from someone around my age. Where were you taught your techniques, in particular the stretching? Did you attend a W-A clinic?

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

So I did not. Thanks for that. Hm, most of what I'm seeing here suggests CFS as an additional diagnosis... ? I've read elsewhere that the lymph nodes can swell in response to injury or infection, and I'm damn well injured, but supposedly not infected. I've written up above that for the past six mont...

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

Okay so--

I think I have some swelling in my femoral lymph nodes.

This is kind of freaking me out. I searched the forum for "lymph" and found nothing. What the heck... ?

Re: Chicagoland PT

I've been doing work at the Antares Institute in Willowbrook. They're pretty good, even if I haven't obtained any benefit personally. They do know their stuff.

I too am still looking for a second opinion, however, so if anyone has any more suggestions, I am interested in a re-evaluation.

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

I've become so used to DREs (I've had dozens and dozens) that the "discomfort" is long past. My left levator ani is definitely painful to the touch (the right isn't), but does not refer pain. But the prostate does. This is the first I have heard of the "levator prostatae..." I will make an appointme...

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

Okay, so, two things are becoming clear to me: 1.) The locally-painful points that I've had treated are not the ones causing my problems, because they do not refer penile pain. 2.) What probably IS causing my problems is the "levator ani insertions" behind the prostate, because this would explain wh...

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

Wait. Pressing hard on the prostate, hard enough to extract fluid, shouldn't trigger pain to the penile tip? Because it sure as hell does for me. It's agonizing. Every doctor I've seen has told me my prostate is completely normal, but pressing it definitely refers penile tip pain. ... Could my prost...

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

So, what's the implication, then? That my trouble spot is behind the prostate? Because I'm pretty sure that pressing hard on the prostate creates penile-tip pain in ALL men, not just ones with CPPS (am I wrong about this? Early on, I went though a prostate milking and it was agony.) I have painful s...

Re: New member here, just trying something new...

I just can't afford a therapist who doesn't accept insurance. -.- I might be able to go ONCE if there was any chance of them finding my real problem... I still can't figure out why I have penile-tip pain all the time, but nobody can refer it unless they press on the prostate. I know the idea here is...

A mild warning about Lyrica/neurontin

This is just a small, generic thing I learned for my experience with gabapentin/Neurontin: Do NOT try to drop it cold turkey. I broke into a horrible weeklong itching spree, the causes for which I simply could not figure out until my roommate asked if I had stopped any drugs recently. Sure enough, b...

Re: Wise-Anderson Protocol Wand?

Anyway, its about time that we get the necessary tools to treat our condition here in Europe. It's about time we get the necessary tools to treat our condition anywhere . Right now you still can't get the wand unless you go to Stanford. I appreciate the positive vibes, Webslave. I had the worst pai...
