Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

It sounds like all of our symptoms started in a similar way. Ray and Finallyover, can you please update your signatures so we can see more details and better help each other? As you can read in this very long thread, I have tried many, many things - they didn't work for me, but that doesn't mean the...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

I agree Urologists are useless unless something very obvious has gone wrong. If it's a virus, I don't see how it goes away like it did for you and like it did for me for a few months 19 years ago. I believe it's some interplay of muscles and nervous system. Because it's the pelvic floor and genitals...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

My symptoms started 20 years ago at the moment of ejaculation. Main symptom is a constant sensation of needing to urinate at tip of penis. Also frequency and urgency (probably every 1-2 hours). I don't wake up at night unless I'm in the middle of a huge flare. I now take 1mg Clonazepam with 15mg of ...

Would also like to know if Valium suppositories have helped anyone compared to tablets taken orally.

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

You're definitely not the only one. I've been searching for 20 years and Urologists now brush me aside and basically imply that I am crazy. But I think I know when my body is screaming it wants to pee and I don't actually have to pee. I also has symptoms go away entirely for a few months and then on...

Re: Tramadol 100mg ER

Just wanted to chime in on Tramadol. It's often presented as completely safe because it's not a true opioid. I found that taking 100mg 4 to 5 times a day really cut down my discomfort. However, it drastically affected my mood, from almost manic to deep depression. I would also sweat incredible amoun...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

At the end of the day I probably need a complete lifestyle change and mental adjustment change True for many of the more intransigent, difficult cases. But as you say, very difficult to achieve (in my case, my dear wife was able to shoulder much of the bread-winning burden). I'm starting to serious...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS

Thank you for this. Please excuse my extreme delay in replying. Usually when I am feeling ok, I try to stay off the forum and when I have a massive flair, then here I am again looking for answers. Is this basically the same concept? https://www.storzmedical.com/en/disciplines/urology/product-overvie...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS

Thanks for this info and glad you feel you are on the right track. Here's the thread about LISWT http://www.chronicprostatitis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=8574&p=50379&hilit=Low+Intensity+Shock+Wave+Therapy+LISWT#p50379 Seems like there was no follow up post advising of results. I will get in tou...

Biofeedback with rectal probe - any home devices

I'm looking into using biofeedback to learn to relax the pelvic floor muscles with the use of a rectal probe. I see machines out there on the market for thousands of dollars. Is anyone aware of an affordable home device? Women now have this http://www.pericoach.com/ which connects to an iPhone with ...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS

Hi Luxemburger, Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry you've had to deal with these very difficult symptoms. I'm confused on one point, how does ESWT differ from Low-Intensity Shock Wave Therapy (LISWT) or are they two names for the same thing? I've got another thread running under 'Frequency and Urgency'...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS

Luxemburger, are you able to post more info on this doctor? I'm in Thailand where the equipment to do this exists, but as I understand they use it for breaking up kidney stones and will probably think I'm crazy talking about using it on muscles. Did you experience some benefit from the treatment?

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Thanks Webslave. When this started 20 years ago, I did a few things: Stopped all ejaculation for about 3 months Took a brief course of antibiotics and antidepressants (maybe a month), got a cystoscopy and was told I was fine. In month three I went to Hawaii for the Summer. I remember being thrilled ...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Hi Burner. You can look into Nutritious Movement and Dynamic Contraction Technique. If muscles are the cause of your problem, then this could very well be the solution. It's cheap to do a couple Skype Sessions, get a program and then start on your own. For me so far things have not improved. I've ad...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Hey Burner2K. Unfortunately no one in Thailand has a clue about this condition. Even their traditional Thai herbs and massage and all that - they have never seen these symptoms and have tried various treatments without success. My symptoms continue to be up and down. The last week pretty horrible. T...
