If it is a muscle tension disorder- drugs?

As someone who was on this board a lot, went to Dr. Wise 5 years ago, and is now 98% better and only has a bad day every three months, I thought this board especially — plus some enlightened physicians and PTs have concluded that this is a muscle tension disorder and that relaxation, stretching, and...

I stayed on DETROL for about one year after visiting Stanford and then my frequency just went away. I have been off all frequency medication for one year and three months. I probably have two days per month where my frequency is noticable.

Drop everything. Call Dr. Wise (search for number or look under Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol on parent site) and get yourself to California. FAST. It doesn't matter how much it will cost (probably not as much as you think and a bargain to make your pain go away) If you do this, you WILL get bette...

Face, you probably know better.....

Hi Face, You are a VETERAN. You know this is not an infectious disease. You can not transmit tightening up your pelvis under stress to somebody else. As you have recovered significantly, you MUST understand the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol. I am so happy you have recovered. First of all, no need ...

Public education efforts

I am sorry that you have been suffering with such a condition without proper diagnosis. However, it is a little upsetting that in a country where sex is so available in a consumer fashion (Thailand) that people are not educated to the signs, symptoms, and behavior modifications that are necessary if...

Is this the famous long-awaited antibiotic/alpha blocker study where the results have been blinded until now?

Totally makes sense that antibiotics were ot helpful. I do find in my personal experience that Flomax is somewhat helpful in increasing flow but a good yoga class is better.

By the way, if there are people in the Boston/Providence/southern New Hampshire area who want to know the contact details for my practitioner, they can private message me. He understands the problem well (there are 5 or 6 of us now who go) and wants to help.

There are some people who are not licensed PTs but ARE qualified to do a safe and good job. I go to someone trained as a Neuromuscular Therapist or NMT which is a medical like massage (trigger point therapy) that is taught from a school in Florida known as the St. John School/St Jonn Method. I have ...

Elavil is not a benzodiazepine. It is a tricyclic anti-depressant. It doesn't have profound muscle relaxing action. It works in CPPS by working on the pain transmission mechanisms and is used for many chronic pain states. It is quite sedating. Its not addictive like the benzodiazepines but you have ...

Some European Ideas

As an American who spends half his time in Europe in many countries, who has spent time with Dr Wise and Tim Sawyer, I would like to offer some opinions on Europe. I would say Germany would be one of the best places. The people in the country are quite holistically minded, (for example homeopathy pl...

There has been no mention I believe in the Forum that once-daily Uro-Xatral from Sanofi/SkyePharma was approved June 16 by the FDA. Once labelling discussions are completed and manufacturing and distribution take place it will be available in the US. The Europeans have had this one a while. It is a ...
