How you find the Tens machine? I have one, we use it on the horses, and so I gave it a go, and it was then given to me!

Re: Newbie Story & Questions

Very informative post. I can relate particularly to the muscle group you mention, I too have problem with these muscles, I have to stretch the ligaments that attach to the pelvis. It is very hard to do and requires me to have to use the weight of my body to stretch them out. For example, I have to l...

Re: Saying Hi and quick update

I may do because the itch that the bloody things are causing is crazy and it's directly feeding the cycle of pain and inflammation. I'll try to get that gel, the stuff I get on prescription isn't great (scherioproct). 1 thing that I have heard causes most people's symptoms is the trigger points each...

Saying Hi and quick update

I haven't posted in a while as I'm trying to make sense of a secondary condition that seems to directly affect my CPPS. Since January I have a terrible itch around anus and the surrounding cheeks. It feels as if there are hard veins and they are protruding from the skin. Things don't feel normal at ...

I would stay away from that tender area, what I understand from it is that if pressing the urethra there at a tender and nerve-rich area reproduces my symptoms well then the muscles (levator ani) in the areas around the prostate are most likely pressing on the urethra. These can be hard to get at so...

Re: Why urinary pain?

This is how my case started off. I did contract an infection that took 3 rounds of anti-biotics to clear. Now, and this is the interesting bit, I completely obsessed over my case while I was waiting for the anti-b's to work, I completely 'tuned in' to every sensation and read article after article o...

Re: Berceli Protocol - Trauma Releasing Exercises (Tremors)

Could you elaborate on this protocol? It definitely sounds worthwhile and I would be very interested in finding out more about it.

How do you go about starting these powerful tremors?

Re: New Here - Hello

This is interesting, it just hit me now - doctors keep telling me this is all in my head .... and you say My theory, and take it with a grain of salt, is that prostatitis is a myoneuropathy disorder and I think there's something neurological about this like if our pain threshold is fucked up and ner...

Re: Had a 'Lively Discussion' with my GP!

I only went into him to get the rash that broke out on my body seen to and as soon as I mentioned that the itch started after PT he started interrogating the matter and in fact, forgot to add the needed medicines to the prescription. A sportscar-driving young doctor hmmm! I wouldn't consider him for...

Anxiety took over in my case, after a while, and after I started feeling that no-one could help, this alone then could cause these probs.

Had a 'Lively Discussion' with my GP!

Ok so I went into my GP because I've developed a sort of a heat rash that has become infected. I feel that it developed after my anal sphincter became very itchy after PT sessions. I do have hemorrhoids and boy do they get itchy! When I itch them or sit on a bike saddle the itch seems to be causing ...

Re: Berceli Protocol - Trauma Releasing Exercises (Tremors)

Thanks, I really feel this would benefit so much people not only on this site and suffering with CPPS but others with other conditions. I can induce certain tremors by sitting with small balls under my hamstrings loosening the trigger points - couldn't believe it - it actually gets the pelvic floor ...

Re: Berceli Protocol - Trauma Releasing Exercises (Tremors)

This does seem promising and it does tie in with the 'reseting the nervous system' that might prevent the bladder wall breaking down and causing continued IC symptoms. I would like to look into this but it does seem very 'secretive' in that the only way to learn how to provoke these muscle tremors i...

Re: very depressed !!!

My doctor prescribed me a personal use urine tester and it turns out I got a Siemens Urine Tester the very set the doctors used on me. It covers lots of parameters (7) including protein, pH, glucose etc. I found I had a trace of protein at one point, which can be normal and tested again today about ...
