flu vaccination

I am still amazed that there are virtually no discussions or warnings two years later and there are no postings regarding possible chronic prostatitis reactions after receiving a flu vaccination. I still suffer two years later from worse symptoms two years after receiving a vaccination. My symptoms ...

Re: Flu Shot-worsening symptoms- possibly life long

Bethree5- thanks for the input. Sounds like you are going through similar situations along with many others. I try not to let it get me down, but it is tough especially when you are told how "safe" these vaccines are and everyone was aware that I had this condition. I do not feel so alone anymore, b...

Re: Flu Shot-worsening symptoms- possibly life long

Thanks again, everyone for their input. I was sharing my recent experience and providing everyone with a bit of caution with vaccinations. What I am experiencing is very traumatic. If it took you 6 or 7 years to get to a certain point of recovery and then it was basically all gone and symptoms were ...

Re: Flu Shot-worsening symptoms- possibly life long

Thanks everyone for your input. It is true that sometimes symptoms get worse when you are sick due to inflammation and your immune system reacting to an illness, but what I have experienced is much more severe. I never had much worse symptoms during an illness and I never had any of the pain or seve...

Flu Shot-worsening symptoms- possibly life long

I would like to submit this word of caution to anyone who has not gotten a flu shot and is considering getting one. I would weigh my options and think long and hard for anyone with prostatitis before they get a flu shot. Most urologists and physicians will state that it is safe with no long lasting ...

Re: prostatitis flare up after flu shot

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I do not see my Dr. or urologist prescribing anything for the pain right now. Gave me Lexapro to try, see if that helps. Also, this is not just a flare up, I have symptoms now that i never had before the shot, such as the pain and discomfort when sitting. I ...

Re: prostatitis flare up after flu shot

Thank you for your response. It has been a month since I have had my flu shot and I am still having a bad flare up. Does the pro-inflammatory bodily response tend to go away over time? I wish i had been informed of this prior to agreeing to the shot.

prostatitis flare up after flu shot

Has anyone had a flare up after receiving a flu shot? I am experincing a bad flare up and I know it is a result from a recent flu shot. I never had flare up this bad. How long will the flare up last if it is related to the flu shot and is it because of the auto immune response the flu shot generates...
