Amazing breakthrough removing soy and margarine from diet

Hello, I have not posted here for years, but my battle with CPPS has been an extremely difficult and protracted one. After 18 years battling with this and exploring every conceivable treatment*, I have FINALLY had a massive breakthrough. After excluding all soy from my diet for six weeks, my pain is...

gluten

After dealing with this problem for many years, I have found that reducing my gluten intake as much as possible (complete elimination is almost impossible in a Western diet - unless I make it my life's mission) has been the only thing to reduce my symptoms. Also irritants like coffee and tea seem to...

different pain

hi all, haven't been to the forum in a while and thought I'd check in. strangely enough, my pain seems to have changed over the past year. the testicular pain that used to bother me is almost gone - but now I have quite pronounced lower back and internal rectal pain. think this is somehow related to...

ED and orgasm

does anybody else have difficulty achieving orgasm along with their CPPS? it's difficult to explain, but I have a generalised feeling that things are 'blocked up' in my pelvis, and as though the whole region is a little inflamed. Erections are difficult to maintain and orgasms are not as satisfying ...

any advice on allergy testing? there is a place that does pin-prick tests near me, but they aren't cheap. if they're reliable it may be worth the money. i've heard blood tests are pretty unreliable, and i've tested negative to coeliac with these before - I know I don't have that, but maybe some less...

amitriptyline side effects

has anyone else has developed dark circles under their eyes while on amitriptyline? webslave has mentioned a similar drug, remeron, which is less 'toxic', and I'm wondering if this could be better for me. the eye bags may just be a side effect of the wintery weather in melbourne right now, but they'...

internal trigger points or irritated/entrapped nerve?

haven't posted for a while but the quest continues. to cut it short - i've found a specific internal trigger point (or something) - much further in (maybe 4/5 inches and on the left) which is definately the core site of my pain. it is in the region of the sacral plexus I guess, so whether it's my ps...

the first thing I was diagnosed with was varicocele and quickly had a bilateral varicocele ligation hoping this would fix the pain. it didn't, but I later developed a left hydrocele and had to get this repaired. I don't think the uro I saw initially knew anything about what he was doing and wound up...

What about the IC?

I understand that muscle tension is important and something I have to resolve with a PT but I think that my fundamental problem is IC - as in a specific irritation in the bladder wall. Was diagnosed by hydrodistension. If I neglect to treat this directly won't I be wasting my time? Does anybody have...

Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol

Hello, Has anyone been to Stanford to see David Wise? I'm travelling from Australia and want to be sure I'm doing the right thing. Also, how much long term success have people had with Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol and trigger point release? (I guess those who've done well wouldn't be here, but wh...

Hi John, Can you give some indication of how much it costs to have this imaging done? Is it possible to have the MRI done elsewhere and the results assessed by Dr Potter? I live in Australia and am thinking about a trip to Stanford to see Dr Wise in the next couple of months - it may be worth my goi...

nerve block

Am in unbelieveable pain at the moment. Spinal specialist (I'm desperate) has suggested x-ray guided pudendal nerve block to see if this is the problem. Makes sense and seems like a relatively harmless procedure which could be diagnostic. Could explain my ambiguous generalised pelvic problems. I wou...

to have been minor internal 'roids. think it's related to my pelvic tension because of my need to strain. colonoscopy revealed nothing unusual otherwise. must all be muscular. am so tired of CPPS.
