Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

So I just had a nerve block done today, and I felt almost completely pain free the entire day. No major hunger pains, no bloating/gas, no pain after bowel movements, it was great. I hope it lasts for as long as the doctor says it will last for, which he claimed (if it worked) would be 6-8 weeks. I m...

Re: Success with Nerve Block

I was going to make a thread asking about this because I just had a nerve block done on me as well and was hoping for some feedback on it. But it looks like it's not talked about that much here, and this thread hasn't been responded to in years. I'm on day 1 and I was virtually pain free for practic...

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

Your signature says you are 24 and the condition started at 24. That does not jive with what you are saying now. Anyway, mention ketamine to your psychiatrist and see if he'll allow you to try it. Ketamine Relieves Depression Symptoms Within Hours But watch out for potential bladder damage http://w...

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

That's somewhat discouraging to hear. I've read before that it's not unusual for people to have referred pain from one source of pain, especially in regards to pain that is caused by the nerves or muscles. All of my doctors have told me before that my whatever my primary source of pain is may be cau...

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

It's actually both, but right now most of the pain is abdominal pain. I was recently was seeing Pelvic Floor Therapists who identified that I had a very tight pelvic floor. They used a device that they anally inserted into me which was used to measure the amount of pressure (or whatever) from my pel...

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

Can taking a really high dosage of amphetamines, specifically 120mg of Vyvanse, worsen my pain? I've usually never gone any higher than 80mg, but recently felt like it was necessary to go even higher than that lately because it's barely helping with my ADD anymore.

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

I don't know if I was on necessarily ever put on a particularly high dosage of any of the SSRI's that I've tried, but some of them my doctor did say also had a secondary effect of helping with anxiety. Many of them have definitely helped me with my sexual anxiety though, by lowering my libido.

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

Well I've been diagnosed as having a depressive personality by both my psychiatrist and another psychologist. It's not self diagnosed. I don't really see it as a contradiction though because I am talking about the severity of depression. I always feel like I am significantly less depressed in the mo...

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

I stopped drinking alcohol though for like 3 days and it didn't seem to help at all. And my pain increase occurred even before I started drinking. The whole reason I started drinking again in the first place was because of my pain increase... Even then, it's only 12% alcohol. I've always had some de...

Re: Self Trigger Point Release work (Manick's Case)

Please, I really need help right now, SOMETHING ! My pain hasn't been this bad in nearly a year and a half, back when I had to go work a very stressful job. The amount of pain I am going through right now is SO BAD that even taking 3 different prescribed pain medications multiple times a day (as dir...

Feeling worse now that I'm actually trying to get better.

Lately I've been trying everything for CPPS and even other related conditions over the past couple of months. I'm living a more healthy lifestyle and practising many different good habits in general, and can go in more detail about it later, but basically I've been trying everything I can think of t...

Tight abdominal wall?

So I think I recently learned how to loosen up and stretch out my lower abdominals, or my pelvic floor by doing different exercises or self-release techniques. However, these exercises don't seem to really do anything to prevent my upper abdominal wall from tightening up too much (basically, the are...

Sharp pain from hunger?

This has been really bugging me lately, and it's happened on and off. Occasionally, for a period of time, my pain will gradually increase the longer I go between meals. The pain appears right below my ribcage, and is a sharp tearing sensation that isn't very deep below my skin, and is more severe la...

Self pelvic floor release and "magic wands"

I am looking at amazon and found a few things, but nothing that looked quite like what my doctor said it would look like. She drew a picture of it for me and its in the shape of an S. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? She explained to me how to release my pelvic floor, and that I wouldn't hav...
