Re: sexual arousal after PT, the same day?

Some stuff happened, then -- because this board is full of tmi -- I took care of things later, and I felt great the next day.

I went to Stanford. I've got a wand. i suck at using it. in fact, I hurt myself severely last November and worsened my symptoms to this day.

Re: sexual arousal after PT, the same day?

Eh, I'm in such a cosmic degree of discomfort after making some stupid decisions last night about a bladder full of alcohol + quasisexual activity + already feeling really rough + possibly injurious pt that it doesn't even matter anymore. I'm gonna cuddle who I want, and then I'm going to take a val...

Re: Erection leads to flare-up

The other night, I was cuddling with a friend. There's a mutual attraction, but there are reasons preventing us from ever acting on our feelings. But we were cuddling for a few hours and things got sort of intense without getting intense, and of course I was turned on for a lot of that time. Yep. Ma...

sexual arousal after PT, the same day?

I've got a session scheduled with a new physical therapist tomorrow morning. There's a small chance that, while nothing per se is going to happen, I'll be in a situation tomorrow night where I'm turned on for a little while. Is that going to be counterproductive?

Re: Poll: How sensitive are your symptoms to sex?

My pelvic pain symptoms get worse after any amount of sexual arousal, even if it's just looking at a racy picture for 10 seconds. Curious if anyone else is this sensitive. Me. And if I don't have an orgasm soon? Trouble. So I limit my exposure to arousing stimuli. There's no way I can date like thi...

Re: Itching after physical therapy

So it's normal to experience a trigger point flare from PT as such?

Itching after physical therapy

I've had three internal sessions this week, one from Marilyn Freedman and two from my local PT (who does Thiele massages, which I know are not part of the W-A protocol, but she's the only in-network PT and thus the only one I can afford to go to regularly). My symptoms immediately lessened after the...

Re: urination

One drug you might consider is Pyridium Plus, a lower urinary tract anesthetic. It's not a long term solution, though, and it will turn your piss red. You'll have to avoid public urinals unless you want people to faint when walk by  Does it also stain semen and precum? I really need it at th...

Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

I found a therapist recommended by the place Tim recommended, if that makes sense. And they do work closely with the place Tim recommended. I see them on Friday.

[Edit]
They're also out of network. Crap.

Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

I wish I had a PPO instead of an HMO. None seem to be covered by my insurance. I've started to go to Bethesda Physiocare, but I'm going to deplete my savings quickly (half my paycheck per month if I go to two sessions a week, with rent being the other half). Granted, I'd be willing to deplete my sav...

Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

I live near DC. The doctor I saw was E. James Wright, the chief of urology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and a specialist in Neurourology. He typically treats females for CPPS, but is knowledgeable enough about prostatitis. Anyone else you'd recommend? http://urology.jhu.edu/edwardwright/i...

Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

So I'm still in rough shape, but not every day. Every other day I seem to feel fine and my urinary tract is a-ok, with no pain. But every *other* day, especially but not just after drinking or getting "blue balls," the intense pain and frequency but near inability to urinate are back. Ejaculation se...

Re: Upregulation of nerves from physiotherapy

Well, that's over with. Back to the way things felt with the intense pain/feelings of frequency. This is the first time in seven years I've felt like this was completely out of control and might never resolve.

Ugh. Those are distressing facts. At the Wise-Anderson seminar, though, Dr. Wise said certain types of alcohol could be helpful in moderation.

Re: Circumcision

That's too often if you are prone to UCPPS, and you are. The rule of thumb is about 2x a week, to avoid overstimulating the nerves in the area. Doesn't it vary for everyone? I've felt my best when I've been sexually active every day. The first couple of days are rough and then I start to adjust. Ho...
