Re: Dat der flaring...

You are doing internal trigger point release - yes? It is what has made all the difference for me. Most of the time it is the exact same location (but not always) and I've learned how to apply pressure in the right place to alleviate the symptoms.

Improvement Through Internal PT

It's been more than a year since I posted to this site. I've waited this long because I've been dealing with CPPS for 15 years now and have had enough ups and downs to know that just because I feel better for a little while doesn't mean I'm cured. With that said, I'll share a little in hopes it help...

Stretching - I'm a believer

Guys, I have not posted in a couple of months - I've had considerable improvement, but wanted to give it some time - since I have suffered with CPPS for enough years to know it comes and goes at will. When I joined this group earlier this year I was in agony once again after having gone for almost 5...

Scotcan - where are your external trigger points?

Trigger Point at Anus

Does anyone have trigger points right at the anus? Not inside, but right at the anus. I have a very tender spot there that does replicate some of my pelvic pain when I push sideways on it. I don't know if it is a trigger point, or if that is normal and would happen to anyone who pushed on that spot,...

Re: Adrenocortical Hormone Abnormalities in Men with CP/CPPS

So most of us with CPPS are deficient in certain things that those without CPPS are not deficient in. Is there a pill to give to those of us who suffer with CPPS to balance our deficiencies discussed in this thread? Might that help us heal?

Re: Has anyone here ever gotten better without physical therapy?

I recovered from my CPPS the first time without PT - it took almost 10 years. Then I went for four years with no symptoms - then triggered it again the same way I did the first time - I held my bladder way too long. I know that if I had not held my bladder too long again, I would not be back in this...

Re: Success with Nerve Block

Rooster,

You state in your signature that you stopped taking Elavil because of fatigue. It puts me in a fog too. What side effects do you get from the neurontin? What dose are you taking? Do you think it helps?

Re: Cernitin

Canuck, I had a four year remission in all pain symptoms a few months after I started taking cerniton (rye pollen). I thought that it was the cermiton that helped me, but I'm not so sure now, because the pain has returned (triggered by me holding my bladder too long again a couple of months ago). Ce...

Re: Prostatitis and Depression - a dangerous mix

Very small tasks seem monumental when the chronic pain won't go away. Guys need to hear that it will get better from those of you who are doing better than you were in the past. When I suffered from CPPS the first time I recall the first couple of years being the worst. Then for many years, it cycle...

Trapped Gas

Sometimes when my pain is in a really bad stage, Ill feel (and even hear) gas rumbling in or around my prostate/bladder. It's almost as if there is gass trapped in that area. Before I had CPPS, I never had gas or any rumbling in that area. It's not like the regular gas rumbling around in one's stoma...

gmccormack,

It's been almost two months since you went out to CA for the 6 day Wise-Anderson Protocol, if I read your note properly. How are you doing? Do you think the protocol is helping you?

Re: Has anyone here ever gotten better without physical therapy?

You may get a remission. I have had a few one lasting 4 years. I, like graeme have had a couple of remissions (where I had little to no pain) during the 14 years that I have had CPPS. One was for a year, and another was for four years. I had not done PT when I had those remissions - so it is possib...

Jay - how often do you have internal PT done or do it yourself? Do you feel better once it's done?

What does Muscle Spasm Feel Like?

I don't understand the whole muscle spasm thing. I wake up in the morning and as soon as I get out of bed, I feel bloated in my pelvic/bladder area. Then before too long, I get pain in my left upper bladder area - as though something is pushing on it from the inside out. Not too long after that, I g...
