Re: heading out to see Wise

How long was the clinic. I believe I read it is 6 days, but is it 9-5 everyday?

What is the basic routine all day? Can you get work done via email, phone etc.?

Re: Cardura (alpha blocker)

Alpha blockers cause retrograde ejaculation which means some semen flows back into the bladder.

Re: Avodart

Carl, I'm in the medical field so I understand disease state progression and the pharmacokinetics of drugs. You are correct in stating that alpha blockers and 5 alpha reductase inhibitors work for BPH and not CP/ CPPS etc. It is up to the individual to decide which side effects they can and cannot l...

Re: Avodart

Your graph actually shows that what I said is quite true. The prostate continually grows throughout your life and your are "more likely" to experience issues as you get older. I don't think it is wise to always dismiss the idea that medical treatment can help somebody. It may or may not. There is mo...

Re: Avodart

The prostate grows throughout a man's life, when it will cause problems nobody knows. Remember, it is not the size of the prostate but rather the size of the hole that contains the urethra within it. Men can have a huge prostate and have no issues and vice versa. A large prostate is not a problem un...

Re: Avodart

Avodart is a 5 alpha recuctase which will shrink the prostate. It usually takes about 3-6 months to work and are very effective if an enlarged prostate is the cause of your issues.

Severe rectal pain and burning

Lately I am consumed with a rectal ache and the feeling the skin around my anus is on fire. All started after internal PT work. ANy advice?? Trying Prep H but doesn't seem to work. Re: Frequency

You don't have frequency. Normal is 8 times a day. I would pay millions of dollars to have your situation. I can sometimes go 4 times an hour.

LIke they say, count your blessings.

Prosta Q

Just received mine in the mail and will start taking tomorrow. Anybody have any encouraging news about it? How much are people taking in order to be successful?

The fact that it is on this website must mean that it is somewhat credible.
Any advice is great.

Tailbone pain

Started a protocol a couple of months ago and things have seemingly gotten much worse. Before, frequency was my only symptom. Now it is pain as well. My tailbone and rectal area hurt quite a bit. My PT had me evaluated for an anal fissure but that came back negative. Is this a process of getting bet...

Re: 2travelers dilemma

Elmiron is for IC which is basically a diagnosis of exclusion. Also, it takes Elmiron a long time to see if it works, almost 6 months so if you choose to use it the cost will be substantial before you know if it works.

Re: Frequency vs. pain (Mpozatek's Case)

Another PT update. Made the 4 hour trip to visit with Pamela again this past week and my wife accompanied me (god bless her). Pamela taught her the internal PT work so we can perform this at home and not have to make the long trip so often. She has been encouraged by the progress internally although...

Re: Feeling Crappy and need perspective (Elitynski's Case)

What options did they give about re-training the bladder?
250cc is pretty low so I would assume they put you on a plan. I'd be pretty interested to hear because frequency is a major problem with me and it is usually small amounts of urine so the spasm happens to quickly.

Re: To pee or not to pee

I think this is the ultimate catch 22. Urinating constantly has to be bad for the bladder because it gets used to going and becomes a habit just like anything else. However, holding the urine in is contrary to MMR and having a relaxed pelvis. In my experience if I wait as long as possible without go...
