Re: PT in Boston area?

Just checking in, I would guess Bren is still undergoing treatment to improve since its been relatively recent. The improvement on this condition is measured in months rather than days, but it does get better. Soon I will be 4 years pain free. Wish you the best ryan.

Re: PT in Boston area?

Wish you the best, hopefully Webslave shares this info with the rest of the community as well. Keep in mind your symptoms will get a lot worse before they get better, and will take time, so keep fighting and don't give up. Even after you return to normalcy, keep in mind small bouts of pain could rec...

Re: PT in Boston area?

OK I got the chiropractor information, Dr. Matthew Delisle 285 Central St Ste 215 Leominster MA 01453-6144 Phone 1: 978-537-2490 I believe his technique is called Graston therapy, in case you want to research that. Re: PT in Boston area?

Glad to hear your symptoms are improving. I have good news for you, I started to have spasms towards the end of my symptoms, so this might be the beginning of the end of symptoms for you, just keep in mind its going to hurt the first days after the spams and it will still take several months. These ...

Re: PT in Boston area?

Hi Bren, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I never went to see the woman in Beverly, my symptoms got resolved before I had a chance to see her. The chiropractor I saw was in Leominster, so it could be a bit far for you since you would need 2 visits a week or so. If you still need his info I ...

Re: 3 years pain free

By the way, people might think (like I did) why there are not enough success stories on this site. I realized this is because people seem to visit and post this site when their symptoms are at their worse, and then forget this forum altogether once they heal, leaving it behind as part of a past they...

3 years pain free

Well its been 3 years now that I have been pain free, and I feel its my obligation to get the time to share my experience here for others who are going through the same. I had CPPS since 2005, and like all of you I went through hell, mostly because of not knowing what was going on. The best thing th...

Re: New Flare

My chiropractor recommended lying on your back on top of a Yoga ball. This will allow your abs to stretch and it will be easier to find a trigger point and work on your lower abs. By the way, if you find a chiropractor eager to treat this, ask him to check for adhesions in your abs where nerves run ...

PT in Boston area?

I noticed in this forum that several people visit PTs for trigger point release. However, when I seach for PTs (at least in the Boston area) I never find specialist in pelvic floor area except some that perform this work on women who has incontinence problems. Any advice on how should I proceed to f...

Re: External discomfort in head of penis - maybe this will help

I have exactly this same symptom, but in my case I feel it every time I move.
The cup sounds like a good idea. What I do is wearing athletic shorts (the ones with the extra lining inside) which keeps everything together and reduces the friction with the fabric.

Re: Penis head (glans) is so sensitive it hurts

This is also basically my only symptom. When sitting or standing still, everything is right. The only problem I have is when moving I feel pain in the glans and sometimes in the tip of the penis as it makes contact with my underwear. Relaxation seems to help, and stress or heavy exercise seems to ma...

Re: CPPS Dos and Don'ts

Great list!

I would add "Get a Holiday, find time for yourself".

After one year of strong CPPS symptoms, two weeks in Europe reduced them to the point that I forgot about it, at least for a while.

Re: Spasms in my perineum

OMG, I love this site! I only wish I joined years ago... I started experiencing CPPS symptoms in 2005, after a year I started feeling these muscle spasms (once I learned the relaxation techniques from Dr. Wise) and eventually my symptoms were 99% gone, for years! Unfortunately I got too lazy about k...

Re: exercise, are running and ab work ok

I can't believe that there is actually other people going exactly through the same experiences with CPPS that I have gone through. The onset of my symptoms occurred 3 years ago after going on a cross-country trip on an All-terrain vehicle (ATV). On this trip my pelvic floor got smashed very bad. To ...
