Re: Cystoscopy trigger

It was flexible, and when it hit the *zone* I felt sharp pain through my perineum radiating to my inner thigh, slightly. There was no burning when peeing, just impulses of sharp pain in the perineum when doing it. Of course, the urologist's explanation was *prostatitis* I said, my psa is now low, my...

Cystoscopy trigger

Been having restricted urination since my biopsy a year ago so Urologist performed a cystoscopy this morning to check for scarring and restrictions. As the scope pushed through the neck into bladder I felt my typical sharp pain through my perineum; pain 9/10. He pulled out scope and said no scarring...

Nerve Cryoablation for pelvic pain...

Open mind always with this condition. Will watch this one to see if clinical trials are performed.

Re: Prostatitis==>Prostate Cancer?

6 weeks since HIFU and my perineum pain on sitting is gone. Increased burning is the reason I went to Dr Bahn in October. Post cancer treatment first few weeks I had perineal discomfort, restricted urination, and painful ejaculation. I can't remember last time I could urinate such volume, ejaculatio...

Re: Prostatitis==>Prostate Cancer?

3T Multi-Parametric MRI confirmed 1.2 cc tumor on right side with no extension outside prostate. I had MRI guided focal HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) last Friday with Dr. Stephen Scionti in Sarasota Florida. Should be good for a long time now. With diet/lifestyle changes, and routine PSA ...

Re: Prostatitis==>Prostate Cancer?

Yes, biopsy report noted that. Mine is localised to tumor on one side. Really no way to know if related to prostatitis or age/genes/environment. Having a 3T MP MRI this week to stage better. HIFU and focal laser ablation are the latest and greatest that keep prostate intact with no radiation.

Re: Prostatitis==>Prostate Cancer?

I don't understand this finding of theirs given the 8% difference. Personally I've never had anything but perineal pain after UTI/prostatitis, so have always suspected I fall into prostate issue not CPPS. Who knows...after all these years it still seems like needle in wrong haystack search. *Men wit...

Prostatitis==>Prostate Cancer?

My long journey with prostatitis and seeking cause/treatment has culminated in stage T2b prostate cancer. I went back to Dr. Bahn for analysis because I felt things were changing and my psa had risen to 3.6. Digital exam resulted in finding tumor. 10 core sample biopsy increased my prostate pain and...

Re: Inguinal hernia surgery....

Had emergency surgery yesterday to remove two offending tacks an inch above pubic bone and 3 inches to right and left that were entangled in nerves. Was having all sorts of additional pelvic floor symptoms before they were removed, specifically rectal cramps and shooting pain into right testicle. Al...

Re: Some questions regarding CPPS symptoms

Thanks a bunch Ceadar. I lay down and tried it and though there was no referral to my penis, my sitting pain has lessened from the burning state I've had all day. Interesting that I've been to so many PT's, Tim Sawyer included, and none focused on external possibilities. It was all internal work, fo...
