Re: Anal stretching device against sitting discomfort?

The jury is out on anal dilators, also known as 'anal cones'. Let us know if they help relax the sphincter. We have not had any rave reports here (although just today there is this http://www.chronicprostatitis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8177&p=52614#p52614 ) More useful, I suggest, would be para...

Re: Weird symptoms. Opinions please!

CPRS (aka RSD) is not known to change sebaceous glands, but it can inflame skin, making them more prominent. So to show the power of the nervous system, see what it can do to the skin in CRPS: cause swelling under the skin make skin red or blue make skin dry or scaly cause hair to be thinner or coar...

Re: Weird symptoms. Opinions please!

I've seen a few cases here and elsewhere over the years with chronic balanitis resistant to all treatments. It's probably nerve related (nerves can inflame skin, just read about complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) for instance). The suddenly overactive sebaceous glands point in the same direction ...

Depends if you have overactive bladder or not. If you are going all the time, retraining may be advised. If not, go when nature calls

Re: Don't Know What To Do Please Help!

You've got a lot going on. My guess would be that the disc problem was the initiating factor. I've had one as well, and it was a very unpleasant experience that caused pain and dysfunction in my buttocks, hips, legs, even foot. That was just from a slightly damaged disc also with a small bulge, so d...

Re: Biome study

I don't like it. It just perpetuates the same old infection myth by telling you that DNA sequences were found for this or that bacterial strain, which can happen even though the bacterium named is not causing a problem.

Re: Moment to Moment Relaxation

You need to read the Headache in the Pelvis book to get the full description

If you "look inside" a previous edition of the book, you'll get the idea:

X-rays showed my right sacroiliac joint is very inflamed, and I've lost some mobility in my right hip. Getting a MRI on those two areas on Monday.
Keep us informed of the MRI outcome.

Re: Chronic pain after bacterial prostatitis

Yes, the book could help you. Get it. Many cases follow infection. The infection sets up a 'guarding' reaction, and the discomfort sets off the nerves in the region, in other words it acts as a trigger.

Many years, almost all my life really. I still can't quite believe it's gone. The soluble fiber is the key thing. It feeds a different set of intestinal bacteria, the ones you need. The effect of fiber supplementation on irritable bowel syndrome: a systematic review and meta-analysis. Quote: "Solubl...

Re: IBS and Quercetin

Update: basically, my IBS-D is gone, cured, kaput! I combined the Prosta-Q with a diet high in soluble fibre (lots of pumpkin and split peas, for example), and now I no longer have to take Prosta-Q, and the IBS symptoms, for the first time in my life, have completely GONE. It's a miracle, r...
