Re: New Here - 6 Months of Prostatitis - Feel Hopeless

There is no hurry ... keep going down your current path. Nerves take time to normalize. If you still have symptoms in 6 months, explore other options, is what I would do.

Re: Kevkos - Here's my Story

Yes, try the Farr Labs stuff. If they don't work, cycle through all the helpful meds, including Cialis/Viagra, that are discussed. This is shotgun medicine, but with an enigmatic condition like CPPS you cannot afford to leave any stone unturned. Of course, don't neglect the mental and PT aspects eit...

Re: 29 Year Old Terrified for His Future

Up to you. You could delay it without any harm. Take a break and if not worse, stop taking it I think it's a good idea too Yes, wait for the colorectal guy to do his work, keep everything vanilla at this stage Break the diet and if no worse, stop following it. Experimentation is important in decidi...

May I say: "I told you so"?

The thermobalancing "study" published on PubMed has been withdrawn:

Re: Suffering for 7 years, need help.

Amitriptyline is a prescription drug (a pharmaceutical drug that legally requires a medical prescription to be dispensed), so no, I don't think you'll find prescription drugs that have false labelling. YMMV. Farr Labs does not make prescription drugs.

Re: Suffering for 7 years, need help.

Unfortunately no. Testing shows that some brands have almost zero quercetin and others have only a portion of the stated amount. That's why I recommend the Farr Labs product, which is manufactured to high standards and contains exactly what it says. It's false economy to buy the grey market cheapies.

Re: 29 Year Old Terrified for His Future

Crosstalk cannot be ruled out. It's not a concept most doctors are familiar with, so don't try to discuss with them. But it exists, as neurologists will confirm.

What you are doing is working for you. Keep going with everything you are doing for another month at least. The colorectal surgeon will arrange to fix those hemorrhoids. Get it done.

Re: 6 years with CPPS

They say, in this article, that trigger points in adductors and in pelvis in general, might be comfortably visualised by High resolution ultrasound. Is it possible? If yes, why is this method not routinely used during diagnostic process by PT? Yes, it can be used, but still in its infancy https://w...

Re: Mepartricin

The most recent literature reference to mepartricin was from a 2015 review study that stated: "We don't know whether mepartricin reduces symptoms in men with CPPS."

Doxy is quite strongly anti-inflammatory too, but if chlamydia was found that explains it. Chlamydia is an extremely common bug nowadays, so take care out there!

Re: Heat/ice before/after ejaculation

Heat (e.g. warm bath) could be beneficial by relaxing muscle spasm. For many years doctors would advise men with CPPS to take "sitz" baths for the same reason.
