Vitamins are often acid and can provoke flares especially in people with bladder-centred symptoms. That's why Farr Labs makes a speci...

Broken nights: new thinking on why men get up to urinate

Broken nights: new thinking on why men get up to pass water Source: AFR Men whose sleep is broken by trips to the toilet are being urged to think differently about why they need to get up so many times during the night. Most men automatically blame their prostate. They assume it has grown large wit...

Re: Anal stretching device against sitting discomfort?

The jury is out on anal dilators, also known as 'anal cones'. Let us know if they help relax the sphincter. We have not had any rave reports here (although just today there is this http://www.chronicprostatitis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8177&p=52614#p52614 ) More useful, I suggest, would be para...

Re: Weird symptoms. Opinions please!

CPRS (aka RSD) is not known to change sebaceous glands, but it can inflame skin, making them more prominent. So to show the power of the nervous system, see what it can do to the skin in CRPS: cause swelling under the skin make skin red or blue make skin dry or scaly cause hair to be thinner or coar...

Re: Don't Know What To Do Please Help!

You've got a lot going on. My guess would be that the disc problem was the initiating factor. I've had one as well, and it was a very unpleasant experience that caused pain and dysfunction in my buttocks, hips, legs, even foot. That was just from a slightly damaged disc also with a small bulge, so d...

Re: Biome study

I don't like it. It just perpetuates the same old infection myth by telling you that DNA sequences were found for this or that bacterial strain, which can happen even though the bacterium named is not causing a problem.

You need to read the Headache in the Pelvis book to get the full description

If you "look inside" a previous edition of the book, you'll get the idea:

Re: Chronic pain after bacterial prostatitis

Yes, the book could help you. Get it. Many cases follow infection. The infection sets up a 'guarding' reaction, and the discomfort sets off the nerves in the region, in other words it acts as a trigger.
