Calcium in the Bladder

I went to an urologist last week and had a cystoscope procedure. He found calcium deposits in my bladder and some on my prostate. It wasn't an excessive amount but he suggested I should have it removed. He thought it might alleviate some of the pelvic pain. He removes it with a laser on an out patie...

Kneeling Stool

Has anyone in the forum ever used a kneeling stool to sit and keep pressure off the groin area? And was it effective in reducing pain while sitting? I couldn't find one to try in any of the office supply stores where I live. I did find one on the internet www.bizchair.com but did not want to purchas...

Re: BEMER bio-electro-magnetic-energy-regulation mat

In my case 6 weeks may not be a good indicator as to whether the BEMER will be effective in reducing or eliminating pain. I will continue using it and keep you all posted.

Re: BEMER bio-electro-magnetic-energy-regulation mat

I purchased a BEMER about 6 weeks ago. The person who was selling them let me trial one for a few days prior to me purchasing it. After 1 week of use I noticed a significent increase in my energy level. I was lying around and it was an effort to even take a walk or do stretches. Now I look forward t...

Re: 34 year old, family man. here is my story, any ideas?

has anyone heard of the Bowen therapy and ever tried it? Its supposed to be quite good. I have been holding off answering your question until I completed my 6 sessions of Bowen Therapy. I had 6 sessions because they were $75 each or 6 sessions at $60 each. The therapist I had works mostly with spor...

Re: Need to get this off my chest (Garyholc's Case)

Frequency has not returned, the Bowen Technique massages seemed to help me a lot, will have to consider now if I need to go and see Bill Taylor again, though at present I think it will be a while if at all. Dare I say it but the past 2 weeks I have felt more normal that I have ever felt during the ...

Re: 2travelers dilemma

The pharmacy was in Wal-Mart where I got the quote. I didn't check any place else. Webslave, we were volunteering at a National Wildlife Refuge in Texas last spring. The refuge had obtained a trailer from FEMA that previously housed Katrina refugees. I think they said they were going to get more tra...

Re: 2travelers dilemma

Hi Jay

Thanks for your input. No, the proctitis is not completely gone. I see trace amounts of blood and mucus when I have a b.m. I would not want any internal PT work until it heals.

2travelers dilemma

The past couple of months the pain in my pelvic area comes and goes. It will leave for a couple of days then come back worse than ever. This has happened twice. I am frustrated because I try to play detective and figure what I have changed in my personal habits to cause it to go away and then return...

Physical Therapist in Denver area

Anybody know of a good physical therapist in the Denver area who will do external trigger point therapy? I cannot do internal therapy at this time because I am suffering from proctitis. I thought I had this disease whipped 2-3 weeks ago but it came back to bite me. The pain is worse than ever. Thank...

Re: Amazon Store for recommended products/books etc

Hi Jay

Just wanted you to know the "splash board" worked perfectly. I cut out a portion similar to what Webslave illustrated in his post. And the price was right.

Re: Hello everyone! (Jay's Case)

The therapist suggests bike riding with a posture and seat appropriate for my condition, as well as walking. Both of these are aimed at helping to work out the adductors. Hi Jay Have you ever considered a recumbent bike? My wife and I bought recumbents about 8 years ago and love them. We wouldn't t...
