Thanks for your thoughts. It's hard for me to imagine dealing with this for as long as you have. I'll let you know how I respond in two weeks.

Re: Doing proper internal PT...the fine line?

Neue01 I'm curious. How long in your pain journey did you finally discover your self treatment approach that brought you relief? Assuming your approach works for me ( which I have "officially begun"), I will have searched for nine months to find my "complete cure". I hesitate to describe it this way...

Re: Doing proper internal PT...the fine line?

Neue01 In your post you indicated that you worked out the tight bands around your tailbone by applying 60-90 seconds of of pressure several time during a session. Did I understand you correctly that you would have 3-4 separate sessions per day for several weeks straight. How long would each session ...

What are your specific thoughts on the pain meds? I'm biased against them, but it's a therapy that I never wanted to pursue but others on this forum have found them to be very helpful.

Stuck at 80%

I've been battling CPPS for nine months now. Thankfully, my pain is limited to a pain in my rectal primarily around my coccyx but at times this can be very uncomfortable particularly when sitting. The first two months were bad, but I made steady progress after that and plateaued at 80% normal. Durin...

Re: Do any of you do YOGA?/

I do Yoga twice a week in class, and do daily Yoga stetches at home. It's more of a workout for me as I receive little relaxation benefit from it. I'm 85-90% improved from 6 months ago, and was actually pain free for 10 days during the Christmas holidays. The pain (mild) reappeared on Jan 2 and has ...

Continued Improvement/Interesting Event

After five months, I continue to make progress with my CPPS and feel I'm at 80-85% normal. I had reached a point in early November in which the condition had finally become secondary, although I maintained my daily therapy. On November 13, I woke up in the morning with an upset stomach and assumed I...

Progress Has Stopped...Any Advice

My CPPS began in late June, 2007 and after two months of pain and depression, I began to make progress which continued up until about two weeks ago. My only physical symptom is a dull pain around my coccyx and it radiates deep into my rectum. The pain goes aways when I'm laying down, but is noticeab...

Newbie-My Story

I'm currently into my 3rd month of CPPS and seeking input/comments on my treatment protocol. My condition, which is limited to a dull ache in my rectum centered primarily at my coccyx, seems to be a classic pelvic muscle disorder. My rectal doc said I looked fine and a recent appointment with a urol...
