Re: New England Journal of Medicine Article on Alfusozin

I'd love to know the cause of the "feeling like needing to go straight after going". I wonder if its irritation from our urine, or the nerves around the bladder, or the muscles around the bladder. Not sure if Carl you are the same, but if I ignore that feeling for an hour after just going,...

Re: Adrenocortical Hormone Abnormalities in Men with CP/CPPS

Wish you all the best with your study Dr. and hope this treatment proves to be effective in helping rid people of CPPS. Would be a lot less painful than having PT anyway  I would participate in your study but I guess living in the UK means I am too far away!!! Look forward to seeing the results...

Re: Adrenocortical Hormone Abnormalities in Men with CP/CPPS

Dutch - Did you try the liquorice product after?

This thread has gone somewhat quiet, just wondered if studies were continuing or if research has slowed down for the time being pending funding/project approvals etc?

Re: NIDDK Meeting on Defining the Urologic CPPS - June 08

It seems that research into this condtion is really speeding up over the past few months which is great news, hopefully this condition can be treated and perhaps even cured effectively in the future with just a visit to your doctor! :agree:

Re: Intrarectal pelvic PT a "meaningful treatment"

It seems that more and more studies are now backing up the theory of CPPS being a muscular condition which can be treated by trigger point release using internal and external massage in the correct areas. However its still so frustrating that progress is very slow with regards urologists and doctors...

Re: Adrenocortical Hormone Abnormalities in Men with CP/CPPS

Just did a search about increasing cortisol and found this interesting read : http://www.newtreatments.org/loadlocal.php?hid=637 which says that licorice can be used to boost levels.....

Re: Dr. Song In China (thread #2)

Just a thought but if I were a past patient of Dr Songs (is he a Dr by the way???) I would also be getting a HIV test done, I believe (correct me if I am wrong) that one third of Hep C infections also occur with HIV infection. And if needles are being repeatedly used here then god knows, anything co...

Truly shocking and my thoughts go to you Cooper at this difficult time. As Webslave has said, you need to act on this asap, the fact they have closed their forum is already evidence they are sterilizing their forum and cleaning any posts which may give evidence to any future legal case brought again...

Re: uk treatment Bill Taylor

I don't believe he has yet as he is so busy. But he has been doing this now for over 7 years and says he has learnt a lot over the years with regards trigger points. It was the best money I ever spent going to see Bill, not just for the treatment, but also for the mental relaxation and the realisati...

Re: Adrenocortical Hormone Abnormalities in Men with CP/CPPS

All this is so interesting, and so exciting, just the prospect that in the future, there may be a standard treatment for this condition. I dont know if other people on here have found this, but just reading all these studies and the promise they may hold has made me feel somewhat better in myself. I...

Re: Adrenocortical Hormone Abnormalities in Men with CP/CPPS

So is this condition a muscular one or not? I'm confused by all of this.... if it is a gene and an enzyme deficiency, why do people find relief when doing PT? I'm struggling to understand how it all fits together - prostate, frequency, pain, muscles, pt etc....

Re: Adrenocortical Hormone Abnormalities in Men with CP/CPPS

Does this mean that in the future some drug or treatment could be provided to restore the balance in the body and prevent CPPS?
