Re: Problem shipping Alternative treatments to EU

I don't think it's a big problem any more.

I've found quercetin on the German Ebay.

Rutin more helpful than quercetin?

As some people posted before, quercetin for me also works quite spotty. 500mg work for 1.5h up to 2h only. I guess quercetin is metabolized quite fast and has a short half life. A little bit at random I have tried rutin now. Rutin is a derivative of quercetin, namely quercetin bound to sugar. Other ...

Re: Does Quercetin prolong the recover from viral infects?

It sounds to me like quercetin is helping your symptoms but maybe not solving the underlying condition. So far, the underlying condition of prostitis is not known, respectively just in a very rough sense. So your thesis cannot be backtestet at all. But it is true. Quercetin is no final solution. Ne...

So you can be glad.

I wouldn't take 8 per day, if got along with three. They work only for maximal 2 hours.

Re: Does Quercetin prolong the recover from viral infects?

It would be helpful, if someone brought retarded quercetin onto the market. With a stabilized drug level one would need much less. From my point of view the fast clearance is the biggest problem in the professional pharma use of quercetin.

Does Quercetin prolong the recover from viral infects?

I am taking quercetin for one year now. It is exactly as garyholc says. 500 mg work for 1 - 2 hours only. So I am taking 8x 500mg + 8x 200mg (stomach acid resistant) bromelain (enzyme from pineapple) per day. It works pretty well for prostatitis. And it is still effective for me. First I did not rec...

Re: Antioxidants effective against CP in German CP-Forum

@expensive: Yes, the price refers to Germany. Maybe glutathione is cheaper in the USA or UK. And keep in mind that theses antioxidants are no final cure. You have to take them every day. But a lot of people feel much better doing so, including me. I forgot to mention broccoli sproud extract in combi...

Re: Antioxidants effective against CP in German CP-Forum

As it is fractioned over some threads, maybe I can give my latest information. Cistus seems to be as effective as quercetin alone, but less effective than quercetin in combination with bromelain (especially in stomach acid resistant administration form). High dose NAC (German: ACC) , which is metabo...

Re: More evidence inflammation not linked to CPPS - Question

Well, the study you mentioned does not compare to other parts of the body. It proofs stress can establish an inflammation in the bladder. But it cannot proof the inflammation establishes specifically in the bladder (more than in other parts of the body).

Re: More evidence inflammation not linked to CPPS - Question

Maybe it is more intuitive without cutting next two sentences. If there is inflammation, there are just three possibilities: 1. Autoinflammation (vs. inherent substances, e.g. human cells) 2. Allergic/pseudo-allergic inflammation (vs. foreign harmless substances) 3. infective inflammation (vs. forei...

You are right webslave. But the leading opinion in prostatitis research moves with smarter inflammation studies more and more to the inflammation thesis. Re: Arachidonic Acid

As the immune system needs in high activation a lot of energy, mother nature has bundled the control of immune function and metabolism. It is a thumb rule, that 95% of metabolism boosting substances also boost immune system (inflammation).

Re:

A PCR cannot test nanobacteria and viruses (and other unknown bugs). So the conclusion PCR negative = autoinflammatory may not always be correct. Viral DNA can be detected by PCR. Nanobacteria, if they indeed exist (controversial), exist, in theory, within prostatic stones, so that doesn't wash eit...

Well, we know that the immune system is not fighting anything inside the prostate, because over 95% of patients have no or minimal prostatic (stromal) inflammation. Maybe the inflammation is only at the surface, the epithelium. So we need to find out what is causing the epithelial inflammation. A L...

There usually is inflammation if you look at subtle markers of inflammation. Recently, researchers found that men with categories IIIa and IIIb both had significantly and similarly raised levels of anti-inflammatory cytokine TGFβ1 and pro-inflammatory cytokine IFN-γ in their expressed prostatic sec...
