Re: Do any of you guys have varicocele ????/

I have a varicocele on the left testicle, diagnosed about two years ago, and now I think one may be developing on the right side. Periodically it causes some discomfort - and more so in the past few months - especially when sitting. Two urologists I saw said that surgery is an option but, many times...

Out of curiosity, I did once do some [careful] internal work, briefly, following orgasm to see if that might alleviate the anticipated pain. I don't think it did much to help, but it really was a fairly short exercise. What I did notice, however, is how much twitching, spasms I guess, was going on i...

Post ejaculation pain

One of the most troubling symptoms of this condition for me is the pain that sets in about 1/2 an hour after ejaculating, and sometimes lingers for several hours. Having read some posts where this is brought up I see that this is something a few other guys are troubled with as well, in varying degre...

Scoobysnacks, "Sex shape" - Right you are. As Marvin Gaye put it, "aint nothin' like the real thing....". Unfortunately, I'm in the 'unlucky' category currently, and have been since this I started deailng wtih this, but do remember from my more active days that going the distance was never a problem...

I would have to agree with Boulder on this. Definitely avoid the kegels. They only increase tension in an already very tense area. Right before all my 'classic' symptoms revealed themselves, I was doing lots and lots of kegels. While I'm sure the CPPS was brewing for a while, I'm convinced that all ...

Oh, yes. The over-focus. I know it well. I'd say I have pretty much been a dedicated over-focuser most of my life, and health related matters were certainly one item on a rather long list. Unfortunately, my over-focusing was largely focused on things over which I had really no control. In retrospect...

Damien - First off, good to hear that you've met someone nice, with a sympathetic ear to boot. This is precisely the type of situation I was wondering about. It's got to feel good to get 'the stuff' out in the open right off the bat (the first night, even!). Let's hear it for the booze-assisted admi...

This has been an interesting post to read since I'm pretty sure it's something many of us think about at length. I know I certainly do. For me, its something a couple of friends know about, simply because they were around during the initial stages of me trying to figure out what was going on. But on...

Just wanted to agree with something kpbos mentioned about healthy eating. I find that the more I include fruits and veggies in what I eat during the day, the more easily things move along. I generally only experience post-poop discomfort following a hard bowel movement, where there was some strainin...

Thanks, SS. I will be in touch with Dr. Wise. And, Joe - I'd be interested in having the name of your chiropractor on hand as well - thank you. As you say, White Plains is accessible on MetroNorth. Carl - I agree. Amazing how many guys in their 30s are dealing with this (and younger guys, too). Cert...

Thanks, guys. I will certainly get ahold of the book and get started with that. You're right, Help, I've noticed a definite fluctuation in the symptoms and even several occasions where they seemed to have faded away for a few days only to return again. Thanks again for the words of encouragement. Ho...

Hello - new to the group

Hi guys. First off, I cannot tell you how glad/relieved I am to have found this site. And I couldn't be more surprised to learn how many guys around my age are working to get through this. As is the case with many, I'm sure, I had never heard of prostatitis, chronic or otherwise, until the 2nd (of 3...
