Re: New here, not sure where to begin (my case)

Beyond that, it really sounds like you know what is causing issues for you. Ie "I work at home on a computer. I've logged many hours in front of a computer in my life." Time to change some lifestyle habits. This is not blame, but just a matter of, your body is not built for this. If you cannot avoid...

Re: Sharing my story

Hi Omschiefslr, I am not surprised your tests came up negative. What those tests are usually for, are gluten allergies. What we are talking about primarily is a gluten intolerance or sensitivity. I am also gluten free. Soy sauce is one of those controversial gluten products. It is made with wheat, b...

Re: Bacterial DNA in CPPS?

Sigh. Where to start? Foreign language study from an obscure centre There is no known link between CP/CPPS and infertility (that's the first warning flag, showing that the researchers are suggesting links that do not exist) No guarantee that CP/CPPS is interpreted in the same way in different cultu...

Re: Calcium serum levels

I also have had high calcium levels off and on. I was diagnosed with idiopathic hyper parathyroidism. It is something you may want to look into as well. If this is the case, reducing your calcium intake it likely to change very little. Since your serum calcium levels were high, your doctor should ha...

Re: Tensing

A classic way to see this is if you feel great in the morning but taper into discomfort during the day. When you sleep you cannot tense as you are unconscious basically. So when you sleep you let go and calm down symptoms. Hi Mike. I don't believe this is an indicator in any way. Many people hold m...

Re: Thoughts on my condition, please help

Squats tend to be pretty irritating for us CPPSers. You might want to take it easy with those. Both walking and swimming are good way to keep the legs in shape without an excess of strain. It seems like running and biking are more an issue. Anyways, clearly you are familiar with working out, but for...

FODMAP Diet

Has anyone here tried the FODMAP diet? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FODMAP It basically removes, fructose, gluten, lactose, wheat, etc from your diet (see the link for a better desc). While the diet seems a bit of a difficult change, the mounting evidence towards its use for IBS sufferers is hearten...

Do you have any blood in the semen? A classic SV sign.

Re: Inflamed seminal vesicle, instead of prostate

This is often diagnosed under the category of male accessory gland infection (even if there is no said infection from our perspective). Ie: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21696400 and: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22234181 These are two studies published in major medical journals that incl...

And don't be too quick to jump to surgery. Based on the experiences of those from this forum, I have not heard of a single improved case via that route. Maybe webslave has more information to offer in that regard.

Things go up and down. But thats life I guess. For the most part I have turned a corner. When life ge...

Re: paradoxical relaxation

I agree, where does this tension come from? My understanding is that it comes from the constant need to be doing, worrying, thinking, etc. The inability to just be. Whether we are aware of it or not, our mind is being active, even if our body is not. :)
