Exercising for CPPS Sufferers

Dr. Shoskes' posting reminds me of another previous posting that I read somewhere on this website that says something to the effect of, "I have noticed that you never hear about athletes getting this condition."

Happy Holidays

Carl's point is very true. Since I have been experiencing this condition, it has brought personal long-term health issues to the very forefront of my mind, whereas in the past they were kind of an afterthought, if I thought about them at all. There is a quote in a book about urological conditions th...

Lower Back Pain

So were you guys able to do anything to alleviate your back pain? I have been trying acupuncture / acupressure twice a week, but it only alleviates my lower back pain temporarily. Please let me know. Thanks.

Lower Back Pain

I was just thinking the other day that I had previously had lower back pain (on an off-and-on basis) for several years, and now that I have prostatitis, by far my biggest symptom is lower back pain. My lower back tends to tighten up as the day goes by, and by the time it is time to go to bed, it is ...

Lower Back Pain

Ongoing lower back pain has been by far my biggest problem recently. I am taking 10mg of Elavil each night and 2 Q-Urol pills per day, but each day my lower back tends to tighten up as the day goes on. By the end of the day, it is super tight and sore, and I can't even crack it out (loosen it up). D...

Help for My Condition While Driving

For the last couple of days I have put a blanket underneath my bottom. That has helped slightly with the pain in the penis that I usually feel when I am driving.

Constant Need to Urinate Sensation / Penis Pain When Driving

My constant sensation of a need to urinate / penis pain always seems to intensify when I am driving. As such, I cannot drive medium or long distances at this time. Does anybody else have similar symptoms? If so, what should one do to help with that situation? Please advise.

Constant Sensation of a Need to Urinate

The constant sensation of a need to urinate is one of my symptoms as well. It usually wakes me up 2 - 4 times per night, so I go urinate and then try to get back to sleep, which sometimes is challenging. Any suggestions from guys who have had similar symptoms?

Inflamed Prostate

The reason why I know that my prostate is inflamed is that it hurt like hell when the uro did the DRE in order to extract the EPS.

Acupuncture Treatment

I have now tried acupuncture three times in the last week. It does make me feel really relaxed and temporarily gets rid of my prostatitis pain symptoms. However, they are always back the next day (so far).

More Frequent Ejaculations

Rider Fan,

You are correct. Based on both my uro and my symptoms, my prostate is definitely inflamed, and my uro recommended more frequent ejaculations as well, as he thinks that it may help clear up my problem eventually.
