Re: New to the forum, but have been dealing with CPPS for ye

At 2 years after the protocol... Now it's just minor discomfort from time to time and I don't react to it.

Re: New to the forum, but have been dealing with CPPS for ye

If I can share my starter list that's in my signature... Also try standing legs spread a bit...relax the belly and let it hang like a Buddha belly and put you hands together and point to the sky and slightly lean back dropping the pelvis muscles as if to pee...you will feel a deep stretch of your ab...

Saying hello

Haven't been on the board for a while...I'm a former moderator and friend to the site...Wanted to share an interesting ironic short story... My regular doctor reached out to me and asked me if I can help a patient of his who has UCPPS...I look forward to trying to help him by telling him what has he...

Re: Lifting weights?

I do light weights and no squat lifting and no sit ups. You can crunch carefully from time to time...But I waited 3 years after my onset and once I really understood and knew how to drop my pelvic floor all day long. So now when I'm at the gym...I make an effort to only lift enough where I'm still a...

Re: Sex vs Masturbation

In the early days here in this forum I would say stay away from those free big tit websites :-D

Most masturbation now is sitting hunched over your computer looking at porn...It's not relaxed...

So there you have it!

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

CM23,

I disagree with you on alpha blockers...The benefit in my opinion is anecdotal at best. No peer reviewed published studies that show a marked improvement in pain and discomfort when using alpha blockers. Just an improved urine flow in my case and I took them for nearly 2 years!

Are you practicing any of the protocols we support here...Read my starter list in my sig...

You need to treat the problems and not the symptoms...I would guess it's anecdotal at best...

Re: CPPS is taking my life from me (Brett's Case)

My question is this...Maybe I missed something? If you were doing well, why did you start taking SSRI's? Was it due to your loss of your grandfather? My feeling is we sometimes need to just grieve and feel sad when we loose a loved one...That's part of life. So if the sadness you were feeling, which...

Re: CPPS is taking my life from me (Brett's Case)

Brett, The retention will pass but the anxiety and panic is also contributing to the muscles clenching and your whole pelvic floor and nerves are likely goosed up. Just my laymen opinion...Panic attacks are terrible. I have had many in my life...The OCD you clearly exhibit over the many posts of you...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

CMT23, Bonnie was my therapist back in 2006 and she was very helpful on pelvic floor dysfunction... Yoink, L-theanine has been a big help to ease anxiety and I only take it as needed... Alpha blockers in my opinion do nothing to ease the sensation or feeling of having to urinate when you have pelvic...
