Re: Trigger point therapy making me worse...

Hello, Thanks for the input. I'm trying to get in touch with Tim S. to get re-evaluated. He told me that I had no internal trigger points. Also, my symptoms have always been a little different than those of most on here. However, overall, my general condition corresponds with what many here are expe...

Trigger point therapy making me worse...

Hello! I've read AHIP several times, and seen Tim Sawyer several times in the past. For me, working on trigger points in my hips and abdomen make things WAY worse for a while. Then, I usually forgo the trigger point stuff, concentrate on relaxation and, over a period of weeks to months, pull myself ...

Re: Tim Sawyer's email, please

I've already called him, and gotten no response. This has been my experience in the past -- he gets back to me promptly via email, but rarely by phone. Maybe I should call Dr. Wise's office?

Re: Tim Sawyer's email, please

Hello!

Hmmm...surprised no one here had the information...feel free to PM me if you're not comfortable putting it on the forum. I left him a phone message, but recall that he seems to respond much more quickly to email.

Thanks!

Re: Running

As a caveat to this, I will tell you that I'm in a bad flare-up right now. However, that being said.....giving up running and lifting weights helped me TREMENDOUSLY...and I LOVE to run and lift weights; in fact, I really get depressed over my inability to do either. However, even one light session o...

Tim Sawyer's email, please

Hello everyone.... Long time, no talk. The fact that I'm posting this means that, yes, I am having a doozy of a flare-up....first one in a long while. Anyway...I searched the forums for Tim Sawyer's email, but it didn't come up. Can someone here share it for me? I will try to give an update ASAP.......

Carl-

Why did you lower the dosage? I take it you felt that the Elavil helped?

Anyone here find Pilates helpful? (Sam5935's Case)

Hey! I have two quick questions I wanted to ask. I have been on 5 mgs. of Elavil for about 2 weeks now and am wondering if I should up the dosage. I don't know if it's helping or not, but realize that many people are on higher dosages. Is there some sort of consensus on how much is the best amount t...

Re: Moment to moment relaxation

Viking- The bit you mention about sucking your abdomen to look better....I really feel like that has contributed greatly to my condition. I have a fair amount of body dysmorphia and feel that I look out of shape even when I'm in great shape - let alone when I'm a little out of shape like now. Have o...

Re: Anyone here find Pilates helpful? (Sam5935's Case)

So here's my plan: 1. Keep swimming at least until I've tried everything else....I've got to get some sort of exercise in. 2. Finally cut out the remainder of the coffee. I am down to about 25% of what I used to drink 3. Keep working TP's 4. Try to balance how much time I spend sitting and standing....

Re: Moment to moment relaxation

By the way....my motiv-aider broke about 3 weeks after I bought it. However, I wrote to the company and they quickly offered to replace it at no charge, even though I had no receipt. They were very nice.

Re: Moment to moment relaxation

I bought the motiv-aider, the device discussed in the book. I've only used it sporadically, but I think that it helps somewhat with this.
