Elavil

Has anyone had any help with the drug Elavil in conjunction with their stretching? A uro just prescribed it for me. This is an antidepresent and I have read elsewhere on the web that there has been some success with this drug in treating this pelvic muscle disorder.

Allergies make my symptoms much worse

I have actually felt a little better this long 4 day Thanksgiving week. I think the extra sleep and relaxation helped a lot. Also we had great weather here in NYC the last 3 days and I did a tremendous amount of walking -the walking definitely helps. I'm going to go back to my stretches this week wh...

Symptoms have come back big time

I have had CPPS symptoms for a long time but through physical Therapy, relaxation and daily stretching I thought I had some control over them for the past year. Then this September my appendix burst & I was in the hospital for a week. They didn't want to take out the appendix then-said it would invo...

Thanks for your reply. I have one per week scheduled for the next two weeks. I'll try to increase to 2X per week after that for a few weeks. I'm guessing that the internal work is the most important although I haven't had too much of that yet.

Started PT Therapy & have question

I started PT therapy a week ago. I have seen the therapist 3 times so far. She tested my muscle tone with a bio-feedback probe and found the tone to not be good-extremely tense. She has done both external work and internal trigger point release. The internal work was extremely painful. She also gave...

]Thanks so much for your reply. Do you stay off of wheat all of the time? Also-do you also have hayfever-type allergies and do they affect your urological symptoms. We have been having extremely wet and humid weather here in the Northeast and I have been feeling horrible-like a urinary infection tha...

Thanks for your suggestions. I am very careful what I eat and drink staying away from caffeiene and anything spicey. An occassional wine is the only alcohol I consume. I have become pretty much a health food nut -eating organic fruits, no red meats and eating lots of healthy fishes and whole grains....

Very Long-time sufferer & new to this board

I have suffered with urinary problems for the last 25 years. I am now 49 & can barely remember the last time I felt "normal" for an extended period of time. My symptoms include a constant urge to urinate, a weak stream, never ever feeling as if I have completely emptied my bladder, a lot of leakage ...
