I've been holding off on writing this but ...

I think it's probably time I do. To be honest I've been feeling better recently, a LOT better. It's probably been around 6 months or more of improvement dating back to October 2007. I'd actually say, right now, I feel about 95% asymptomatic. I wouldn't say 95% cured as I know if I went back to what ...

Hi Guys, Thanks for the feedback. MBey, so... you are no longer considering this? It is interesting though that the standing/running also help you. For me I don't see the change as too big a risk (we have a shortage of IT workers in New Zealand at the moment) and I'm sure I could return to the IT fi...

Career Change ?!?

Hi Guys, I'm thinking about a career change to see if this might help my condition and was wondering if anyone else had had the same thoughts or if anyone has done this and what effect it had on their condition? I'm currently working in IT and I find the long hours sitting a nightmare. I notice when...

I'm from New Zealand and have found the story very similar in this country. I've been to multiple GP's, urologists and none seemed to be able to offer any help. As far as I can see TrPs are still largely unknown among doctors in my country. The massage therapists and possibly physiotherapists seem t...

Hey Dude, Have you read the book "The trigger point therapy workbook 2nd Ed." by Clair Davis? I reckon it's a good introduction to trigger points in general. I've found some nasty trigger points in the muscles in my lower abdomen near the pubic bone and below. This might be causing some of your pubi...

Hi BG0013 I used to have terrible constipation and it was excruciatingly painful. I would get a dragging pulling pain before I would go and then when I defecated it felt like I was laying a sandpapered covered egg. I would also have pain for quite awhile after defecation. This was around two years a...

Hey there backsideblues. Same page no, I don't think they're even in the same book ;). On the subject of books have you read Dr. Wise's book Headache in the Pelvis. If you haven't you should. In there I think he talks about different specialists coming at it from different angles. Each speciality se...

G'day Astrotitan, Well Ozzys close but I was sure there would be some other Kiwis. Though the specialists I've talked to about the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol seemed to dismiss it as mumbo jumbo, so maybe Kiwis aren't getting the same kind of information as overseas, I mean I found out about Dr ...

Any Kiwis out there?

Hi Guys This site is awesome. It's a great place to share ideas and find support. Whenever I have really bad days I like to come here to find new ideas or just find out how others are doing. I always feel better when I leave. I've recently tried the extra virgin olive oil supplement. Don't know if i...
