Re: Who followed Dr. Wise's clinic? (Benzo's Case)

Webslave, your analysis is absolutely right. However, I did have improvement over the years with more time inbetween flares and I was able to overcome them by doing the protocol. It's just this new symptom, penis tip pain, brought on by something so trivial that is worrying me extremely. Throughout ...

Re: Who followed Dr. Wise's clinic? (Benzo's Case)

Based on the test, not very high. I almost ticked none of the boxes and got a 92. In reality I am in extreme stress because of the new, unnerving symptom during this flare and my overall mental state. I am in this catastrophic loop, didn't feel quite stable before due to SNRI withdrawal. The only di...

Re: Who followed Dr. Wise's clinic? (Benzo's Case)

Hi webslave, read up on what's described there, but that doesn't sound familiar. I am in a very bad state, I suspect a combination of quitting Effexor and a serious neural wind-up brought on by a lot of stress and too much sex. I started taking wellbutrin to deal with my mental issues. Kicking these...

Re: Who followed Dr. Wise's clinic? (Benzo's Case)

I underwent said cystourethrogram (thanks for the term, didn't remember it) where they put a small cathether in the urethra to fill up the bladder. This was a long time ago but I remember people sitting in a cabin, while the lights went out and I had to try and pee to the sound of a waterfall. True ...

Re: Who followed Dr. Wise's clinic? (Benzo's Case)

Webslave, what do you make of this: since I'm having a massive flare up and my last uro visit was years ago, I decided to visit a new guy who came highly recommended. Just got back from my appointment and he is a genuine nice guy, laid back, interested in my story etc. Anyway he did a checkup with a...

Symptoms change during flare up?

Just a quick one: after a sex binge brought on by discontinuing of Effexor, I am now experiencing a nasty flare up again. Had sex with my wife about a week ago, then jerked it shortly afterwards and felt discomfort in the tip of the penis afterwards. It has now evolved in a full blown flare up, but ...

Re: Who followed Dr. Wise's clinic? (Benzo's Case)

Quick update: as I posted elsewhere I weaned myself off Effexor completely about 3 months ago. I started taking these for a case of tinnitus that has now subsided, took these meds for 5 years straight. It has NOT been easy, basically my neurotic behaviour is back, and also my sex addiction. I went o...

Re: My trip to the F-act clinic in Holland

Quick note: Dr Wise is no longer recommending this clinic. I'm not sure why. Only now did I notice your comment. That is strange because she was involved in setting up the first European CPPS training for PTs 2,5 years ago. She was also authorize to sell the self-treatment devices Dr Wise designed....

Re: Sufferer from Belgium :*, what now....

= Holy f....It's Comhaire who wants to let me inject Botox in my urethal sphincter now to urinate more freely at UZ Gent by Prof Everaert (who is not my best friend also in short). I told him as long as I can pee a single drop I won't be doing it!!! It's just so frustrating. I now think my non-huma...

Re: Sufferer from Belgium :*, what now....

Oh dear, Comhaire...I visited him once, somewhere in the mid nineties and got misdiagnosed with pubalgia. Told you to steer clear of urologists, certainly ones that are not skilled in CPPS treatment. This guy specializes in fertility issues and is probably only marginally aware of modern CPPS treatm...

Re: Sufferer from Belgium :*, what now....

Hi, sorry for the late reply, but I looked at the other therapist you mentioned and his name doesn't ring a bell. Seems like his main specialty is Osteopathy. Before I stumbled onto the Wise-Anderson protocol I had some sessions with an osteopath but without success so I'm quite skeptical about the ...

Re: Sufferer from Belgium :*, what now....

Bcweb, I've been working with Jan Pattyn from Torhout, a 30 min drive from Ghent. I also visited Fetske who is at the same level. IMO both leading authorities in treating CPPS in the Benelux. Surprised you didn't hear from him. He is one of the founding members of the PT association: http://www.trig...

Effexor withdrawal, anxiety relapse and noise sensitivity

Hi, Long story short: I was prescribed Effexor 5 years ago after a bout of tinnitus gave me a nervous breakdown. Over the last couple of years I have developed terrible noise sensitivity and I have had serious bad luck, having purchased and sold several places, all due to noise issues. Fast forward ...

Flare-up after sprinting?

Hi all, I try and stay healthy by doing exercises that I know do not affect my CPPS symptoms, this includes running 16 miles or so in a moderate pace. The other day, I decided to do some interval training and run uphill, as well as sprinting back and forth, which left me with sore adductors and quad...

Experience with FDA-approved wand?

Is anyone here already using the official wand? I saw it when visiting the clinic in Holland, but think the price is still steep. However, when doing internal work I also find it hard to reach behond certain areas.
Would love to hear from people's experiences.
